the g3 is better on single shot then the aks and the m16s and has auto which is better then the crappy, 3 round vanishing burst of the m16s* ok maybe the ak auto might be a little better but the g3 makes up for it in precision assult sniping.
+g3 and anti personel kit = mini sniper, damaging accurate rifle + binoculars ~ a sniper kit.
i used to hate the g3 but then i thought, maybe if i think before i shoot instead of think and shoot at the same time and it works, just take that extra second to line up and bang you can drop someone in 2-3 shots.
edit:
m16*: is it just me or when you fire a burst with any of the american rifles 2 of the 3 bullets disapeer and the one remaining goes off course and liek hits them in the arm? i find the burst on those rifles totally swag. It should be a little more like the g36e where all the bullets hit- just maybe not as powerful or as fast.
2-3 shots to kill with a g3? aim for the head next time dude. all the weapons are fairly accurate on semi auto, just prone take your time and aim and only take should you know your will get a kill shot with
i honestly prefer the AK's apart from the crappy reloading animation.
as for the m16 its just you, i never have that problem.

When i meant a Pacific map i mean't a map "like Wake Island" not "Wake Island". Basically a pacific island map that's more suited to AAS. Getting kinda sick of the brown and sandy MEC maps and the dark and dingy PLA maps. But that's just me...

Bah, I'm telling you, Raid on LA, in fact, I'm gonna go and make that map.....as soon as I figure out how to use BF2 Editor...

If the MEC maps looked more like an urbanised Wake Island with its vivid blue sky and green grass and palm mixed with sandy roads, I'd be in heaven. Having all the MEC cities in the middle of the desert is a tad ridiculous

Well.....i suppose the new one does look cool. But i did like the feeling that you had to be under equiped because of huge numbers therefore making me a little more irrational in my descisions, resulting in the odd charge firing from the hip. Sometimes, these crazy acts of patriotism would be sucsessful!
hey,Who feels like a map where the PLA outnumber the USMC/HB forces, by defualt? Like a 2:3 or summin?

I would like a PLA attack on Hawaii as well as a MEC vs. Insurgents map.
The M16 was awesome in burst with 0.3 settings. Shoot for the chest and the recoil will put the last bullet right in his head. Now the M16 feels much weaker in CQB even though it has less recoil.
The G3 is a very good gun, I don't understand the bashing. It could use a version with optics but that's about it.

The new chinese guns will be the ones the Chinese army is actually using at this time. The QBZ
95, and their variants.
Here is a link from world guns:
Type 95
China are in fact already using two variants of it. The Chinese support kit uses the QBB 95, which is the LMG variant (which should be getting altered to accurately reflect it's real life counterpart).
While the Special Forces kit uses the CAR-95, the carbine variant of the QBZ 95, again it should be getting updated.
Also as someone alreayd stated, scopes will be aded to ALL rifleman kits eventually (not just the Brits), and that includes the G3

Ok not Hawaii, how about some of the other 10000 islands that the U.S own in the pacific? Or just make up a pacific map, you've already made up loads of locations. I'm sure there's no such thing as "Sunset City"
