Yeah everytime i see the **** Green G3A3 i thinkk oh dear its vanila all over again. I doesnt act like a 7.62 rifle at all.

Please PLEASE make the G3 like that (hmm i think i mite make a thread on this)

For a start I ain't ever seen any middle eastern countries using the G3.

I think it does need to be changed a bit although the fact that i've never seen a middle eastern country use it makes me wonder why they have it in the first place.

turkey got a license to produce them, as - but here i am not shure - does iran

Look guys in real life the G3 is a awsome weapon its so good that the british army used a similar version of it before we licked the USA's *** and got the 5.56 cal SA80. so if the DEVs can make it more powerfull and accurate it would be fine.
If not i loved the old AK101 in patch 0.32 you had it perfect. people complain about the slow ROF of the AK101 but the power of the weapon makes up for it. Thats why i am usually granader on the MEC team.

Actually, you used a version of the FN FAL, not the G3; the L1A1 SLR. Different weapon family, but still a 7.62mm NATO battle rifle, and it served the UK very well for around 30 years, even though it was only semi-auto.

That's where the old matchstick trick came in handy. You could put a matchstick in the firing mechanism to make it full auto, but you had to make sure you had it out before a weapon's inspection of course!

The G3 should be a really powerful, really accurate rifle. It's drawback is only in the fact that the ammo is heavier, and your magazines can only hold less ammo, so you're not going to have as much to use as other players.

yes i am basing what i write in the SLR granted as it is similar but yes i do know it is a differant weapon yet at the end of the day the G3 is better than the SLR as it is newer and has been re-worked so what i say still stands in my opinion unless they for some reason made it less accurate and i cant see that happening.

the g3 (=cetme) is actually older than the fal - the cetme rifle was designed in the 1950s and the fal in the 1951s - also, the fal should have a slightly higher muzzle velocity

but i agree, the g3 should hurt more - but also, should have a really high recoil

Yes thats what will make it equal the high recoil. Instaed of the low power and accurate SA80 and m16 this G3 scould be like a urban sniper without a scope. if you get what i mean as for the creation date of 1950 the G3 is still in use hence updates modifacations. the SLR is almost dead apart form malitia etc. hence the modifacatios have come to a halt have they not?
But granted i did think that the G3 was created a lot later than the SLR. i stand corrected.

AKs with scope or reddot would be a possibility, too.
And it would be a nice counterpart for the upcoming M16A4.

i think the G3 is ok but it really needs a new sound, more accurate, and WAY more powerfull.

the G3 is easily one of the best weapons ever made, its as reliable as an AK and as accurate as an M16, its only downfall is the small mag. and heavy weight. in PR it needs to be made WAY more accurate (only in single fire mode) and more powerfull. it shoots a 7.62x56 WHICH IS NOT AN AK-47 ROUND (ak is 7.62x39) which is the same round the M-24 sniper fires, it is a hugly powerfull round, yet seems to be treated like a normal AK-47 round in PR. sence its such a large round it should also have large recoil. if it was made more accurate in singlefire mode only yet have larger kick in full auto it would balance itself out. but it definently needs to be more powerfull because every1 takes the AK101 because the G3 is pretty gross right now, the sound also really sucks.

I like the G3. Its got the small mag but thats the only thing that bad about it. A remodel might be nice if any one could be arsed?

I used to hate the G3 but it seems to have grown on me. It does need to sound more impressive though.
It would be interesting to see how the G3 would perform with the accuracy, damage and recoil increased.

the difference between the .308 remington caliber that the m24 (and g3) uses and the caliber the ak 47 use
ak: 7.62x39 mm
.308: 7,62x51 mm

but - got to stop nit-picking - yes, the .308 nato rounds should be more powerfull than the ak-47 rounds

i miss the old m16 sound effects

the G3 needs to be more 'meaty' and kill more guys when u run into a room and open fire
2 rounds from a G3 should kill a guy
and make it like 1 of the more modern versions instead of this crappy vanilla gun.
i think we need to do something about the HK 53 and the HK 21 aswell,
they need sound tweaking (slightly)
the HK 53 needs to be more accurate, ALOT more
the HK21 needs to be alote more powerful, it should be as powerful as a G3 (not the vanilla G3, the remade PR G3)

the hk21 does only take two shots to kill someone - i hardly would like it to be any more powerfull ^^

The weapon in PR are modelled where the cartridge being fired dictates the damage the weapon does.

So an HK21 does identical damage to a G3 because they both fire a 7.62x51mm round. Those do more damage than a 7.62x39mm round from an AK47 or the like. Which in turn do slightly more damage than a 5.56mm round.

Accuracy, recoil and .. to a lesser degree .. energy dissipation is different from rifle to rifle, but the basic ballistics are determined by the round being fired.

The sniper rifles fire more or less the same round, yet they seem much more powerful than a G3/HK21. One shot kill to unarmoured targets comes to mind.

why is the hk21 stronger than the g3 then (i need more than two shots with a g3

and how comes that then:
