Hehe those are some fun ones. Yesterday I let my friends play Project Reality for the first time and they were a little drunk. Soon we were kicked out of our squad because of all the things they were saying through the microphone. So I apologize if they said stupid things while playing under my name..

Yes, Gewas.
Thats why I felt the need to make this tutorial. People keep getting into trouble, but now we have some guide points to help us out!
Bossy squadleader? Just leave them to fight the war on the right flank - go have a beachparty on the left flank. Everybody loves a party, so they'll soon all be on your flank!

Great post ! very amusin..
Oh yes indeed, many of Alpha in RFAD are often drunk..
If you see RFAD in a squad all together, they are probably drunk at the weekend.
I'm thinking the paratropper operations and rapid base-capping as USMC.
The knife-fighting tournaments at christmas (yes i won that).
the vodnik full of MEC moustacheoed specops blazing their SMG's through the roof in anticipation of the ongoing assault.
Don't let that dissuade you from joining our squads, we do play serious (well i do anyway). at times.
thanks again Clavdius - look forward to seeing your recon-role as spotter in my squad soon.

That was so great. I remember back in the days of DC, when I was a major stoner. There was nothing better than getting the attack chopper and showing off my mad skills while everbody cursed my name but gaped at my K/D. It was like a performance enhancer. Bud did that with a lot of video games actually. AVP2 especially. Playing as Alien, you could just get in this crazy zone....
But alas, those were younger and less responsible times. But there's still booze to fall back on. And I do love a good scotch with my PR.

In the future, we might have to mark the squads "DRUNKVOIP" or "D-VOIP".Darkpowder wrote:Don't let that dissuade you from joining our squads, we do play serious (well i do anyway). at times.

Refresh my memory Darkpowder, did I behave last time?

Few tips for working in and with the drunk squad.
I do not play drunk but; I do play with a lot of peoples that are drunk and or getting drunk. In faxed I would say half my squad is half in the bag half the time.
A few guide lines for working with drunks.
Never start out with “Are you Drunk; Again?!” look at it like this. If you are in a bad mood do you want people ask you if you are in a bad mood.
Try not to set the bar to high. A grate numbers of players are high all ready and may need time to get more Reese’s peanut butter cups and milk.
Encourage the ones that you feel are close to passing out to play medics and just hold out the medic bag. That way even a passed out play can contribute.
Set defend and move markers drunks often will follow a yellow line even if they are weaving to do it.
If you find players starting to wonder all over the map and or pass out a few bars of the Norwegian national anthem often stiffens spins and may wake up the newly passed out players
“Ja, vi elsker dette landet
som det stiger frem,
furet, værbitt, over vannet,
med du tusen hjem.
Elsker, elsker det og tenker
på vå far og mor
og den saganatt som senker
drømme på vår jord.
og den saganatt som senker
drømme på vår jord. “
“Yes, we love with fond devotion
This our land that looms
Rugged, storm-scarred o'er the ocean
With her thousand homes.
Love her, in our love recalling
Those who gave us birth.
And old tales which night, in falling,
Brings as dreams to earth.
And old tales which night, in falling,
Brings as dreams to earth.”
I think that is it. any song will do but stay away from 99 bottles or 16 man on a dead mans chest and the like.
Yah I let them fly and drive but I know that the alcohol enhanced player has a %75 chance of doing better then I do as a point stone sober.
So I closing lets not judge people on how drunk they most definitely are. Let judge them but what kind of car they drive.
Thank you.

i like drunken PR. i'd wager that i've been inebriated at least 20% of my PR time (accounting for 75% of my TKs...).
my best night of drunken PR came a month or two ago. i played for 7-8 straights hours, drinking scotch the entire time. by 4am, i had downed about a fifth of scotch (couldnt believe it when i saw my bottle the next day). the best thing about the whole night was that i was leading a full squad the entire time (consisting of the same players round after round), and we remained effective.
by about 2am, my speech was getting quite slurred. by 3am, i was totally shitfaced, although my squad was still busting their asses to acheive my orders (now coming more slowly and even more slurred). incredibly, we were still the best squad every round. by 4am, i was no longer able to function in a productive manner (even remotely productive), so i had to bail out in the middle of the game. nothing builds my confidence more than having a full squad following my orders when i can barely speak...

I'm unsure if your translation is completely off, or completely genious. With the exception of the 2 sentences I would go for genious.DW_Dreyer wrote: “Yes, we love with fond devotion

This on the other hand is inspiring.DW_Dreyer wrote: A few guide lines for working with drunks.

Last time we actually had a swedish player starting to sing his anthem! We know a couple of bars of that tune as well.

An american that actually took the time to translate our anthem, just to get a snipe at me, deserves an applause. Cept that it was Q-galskap that started singing ...Guerra norte wrote:BLASPHEMY! You forgot an 'R'
