Having/Not having a personal score does not bother me as I look at the overall game/team score. If I want to see how well my squad is doing I look for green lights on the map.
So reducing personal score visibility would be something I would not mind.
However if it is going to piss people off, even ‘smacktards’ I consider it a bad idea, because at this stage I do not believe the mod can afford to piss too many more people off. Many people try this mod and after uttering a cry of ‘What? No Unlocks?’ or ‘What? Spawn Delay?’ or ‘What? It only took only 1 bullet to kill me?’ they leave and do not return. Before scores are ‘hidden’ I would want more bums on seats for this brilliant mod, because I would rather have a smacktard in a seat at the moment then an empty seat (providing he was not a cheat).

I've said this before and also TheOldDog has it exactly right. Too many changes to the scoring system would see the casual newbie players leaving in droves.
It's hard enough to keep them initially without getting rid of scores. As he said, I would rather be playing on a full server with a few smacktards than on an empty server with about 5 or 10 people, which is what it could be like. Just think what it was like before 0.4 came out. Thors and our server were about the only ones ever busy and even then only one used to be full at a time. Now since 0.4 we have lots more players and many others servers now enjoy decent player numbers.
It's no coincedence that the most popular servers have ABR running.

Ok...
I admit it.. i look at the scoreboard to get a confirm kill almost all the time,,,,
I almost always know how many kills i have, and when I’m tossing a grenade or shoot down the Blackhawk with the AT kit - I always check the "result".
So from my point of view, no, i want the scoreboard...
But it would be cool if you just had team scores available
Like, you had to be in a squad to see your score.....
so just removing the "total scoreboard" would probably bee a good start...
What about that??

Whats the real point to scoring? Isnt reality vs 'game' about winning or loosing? i love to see stats AFTER the game, but bragging rights should be based on how much your TEAM pwns not YOU. If they have to stay to preserve the appeal to noobs so be it, but having the scoring screen available at any time during combat sucks ***.

I'd like to see it only visible when you are dead. I'm all for removing it so you can't check if you've made a kill but I like to know who is playing well and who's not pulling their weight.
Plus from an admin point of view it's neccesary we can see who is on negative points or who has just joined and therefore can be kicked to make room for clan members. If we have to do it randomly then I can imagine a lot of people will get annoyed if they've been on all round then get kicked before the round ends.

That's probably the best thing to do, if it's possible at all.

That's the exact reason they took out the hit indicator and the chat on the top left after a kill.
I don' do anything like that and I rarely look at my score ingame. I do check the scoreboards to see what others are doing.
Also if I rocket an enemy car, but failed to see there were friendlies around I check the board to see where my scores are. It helps to show how close I am from being kicked out and get a general idea of how much work I need to do to get back into the positive range.
If there was something more entertaining during the map changes then I'm all for it. As it is I always look at the scores. Although frequently if it's a simple team flip I don't even check it.

in my opinion...apart of team play issues..the problem of scores ingame is the distraction and antiinmersion effect that seeing it produce to the player...the most important things that i like from PR are this moments of total inmersion that you get from time to time..looking for those moments is the thing thats makes me be stuck to PR since 1 year from now playing only PR.
INMERSION......INMERSION thats the important thing...for me of course

I hate not to speak better english, talking about feelings and emotions (abstract things) are one of the most difficult thing to explain in other languages
