jan 7 was made up by a forum visitor. our goal was to try and get to ~ 60 days from the release of v0.4. But we're gonna miss that a bit and are shooting to get it out this month.

Ok, $20 that this will get locked within the hour. When you ask this question, you will usually get four answers:

Soon
When it's done
When eggman stops drinking on Thursdays
I don't know

I seem to remember rumors being circulated in late November or early December of a Christmas present. Of course that was when it was still being called "0.41".

But (just out of curiosity), what keeps you guys from releasing quick booster packs just to fix recoil issues? Such as nerfing the M4 or decreasing recoil on the SAW? Seems these wouldn't be tough, and it would stop months of whoring between releases.

Because any time you have a large release, there's going to be balance issues.

I hope guns will have more power. I wan't a one shot kill's not 6 shot's in the chest to be able to kill someone.

Yeah, as Garabaldi said fixing one thing often brings up loads more other bugs. If the community wanted to make a fix and send it to the devs, I bet they'd be willing to release it tho

Well, if you've got body armor, it's going to take around 6 shots to the chest to incapacitate.

Maybe, but whan you got hit whits one bullet in the chest I doubt that you can fight for some time.

Well, if you have a metal plate and not just Kevlar, then I'd imagine you'd get knocked down or maybe not be able to fire for a few seconds. Just sort of be stunned. But that's simulated in the game with the shell shock effect, right? And if you're in the middle of a fire fight, I think you'd be amazed at what you could overcome to keep the enemy heads down.

Well not all have body armor and still it take about 3 hit's to the chest to kill them. What bullets are used in PR is it full metal jaket or not?

actually body armour is over rated, most body armour becomes severly damaged to the point of uselessness after 1 to 2 hits because after that the material becomes all fubar.

so yeh its not meant to stop nearly as much as games tend to enphisise.

and it wont stop the likes of an ak or m16 bullet at all.

edit: im talking about the material type, not the metal plates

What your answer will be
Every DEV you will find wrote:When its done

Whenever it is ready it WILL be worth the wait.

PRM is like Macdonalds, I'm Loving It

These "Are we there yet threads?" threads are hilarious.

Oh! Also I coded a fix for the M4 problem. If a DEV would be kind enough to go to my FTP and upload the got.teamwork file as well as the stop.whining interface we should be okay until the next patch.

but without the BSE and other garbage that you get in your average fast food (this also take longer to cook and prepare which is a sign of a good meal(and Mod))

At least 6 shots in the chest is better then the 2 mags EA makes you put into one's guts.

Actually, 6 shots is more than enough in vanilla. 6 shots is like the minimum pistol damage in vanilla.

I think the PR Dev team should develop a Project Realty Tribes mod where the teams are really tribes of desert nomads with swords and bows and arrows, but the setting is still in the near future, say after a nuclear holocaust. You could use camels as the new APCs...

We could still have the AAS mode where the flag points are watering holes and palm tree's.

Right. Which I why I specifically said,
a metal plate and not just Kevlar
