I have an idea concerning the bridge in the NW portion of the map. Instead of "just" having it there, why not create a canyon that runs all the way to the northern edge of the map with enough steepness to deny the movement of tanks and APCs? This way it control over the bridge could become another point of interest for both teams as flanking maneuvers in the northern part of the map are made more difficult. This would also make the outpost area west of it more important for MEC to fortify.

Canadian retexture yay.

But i think Kashan needs some kind of a light armor version.

One tank(20 minutes delay and respawn).
One light AH with ATGM, and onther one with MGs and/or rockets(20 minutes delay, respawn).
One IFV(15 minutes respawn).
Three or two APCs(10 minutes respawn)
Three or two recon vehicles(BRDMs for MEC, and maybe HMWV CROW for US).
One regular transport chopper(with one big supply crate), one smaller transport chopper.
And lots of logi vehicles(UAZ, HMWVs and trucks).

Waiting for PR Santa.

I wouldn't expect that, mainly mech inf because you know its worked on the last 3 maps that attempted it. :roll:

Is Canada going to be the permanent faction for Kashan?

Or will it still be for alt layer only?

EDIT: One little nitpick, dunno if it can be changed but the runways should be labeled "18" or the runway looking South and "36" for the one looking North

interesting that you noticed that, alternative runway designations will be added later.

This is great news as Kashan Desert is a classic to many.

That said, I would also like to see bigger/ denser North and South village but would instantly trade all that for 20mins heavy asset spawn delay as it was in ?0.97 that required far superior planning of fobs and defences rather than rely on a single squad to do well, which in my experience happened to usually be the armor squad.

Looking forward seeing as this develops :thumbsup:

Spawn timers are the same as in 0.97(as far as I remember them) since v1.3.

As a RL holder of a pilot's license its second nature to notice things like that :p

Do you know the answer to the first question I asked?

EDIT: Nevermind, found out Canada doesn't have any attack helicopters, so I guess the US Apache layer will stay
