I'm testing a rather basic solution, videos should be up by the end of today.

Make sure you read post #41 here: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f196-p ... ost2111886

Look forward to seeing your results as our materials do need a pretty big overhaul :)

Already did. Currently, I upped the multipliers for the LAT and HAT materials on rear and side armor while removing all damage except splash for frontal hits (0.01 mult). The impact damage of each type of LAT seems to go up and adjusts itself perfectly, resulting in 2 hit critical\alarms to to the rear and 3 hit cook off on side armor. I'm thinking about keeping LATs of each type the same (e.g PF-89, PzF, AT4, and RPG-26 all have 450), or would it be, in your opinion better to up the damage of each team's LATs to their RL levels?

I also wouldn't totally remove damage from HATs hitting the frontal armour, especially Tandem AT weapons which could perhaps have their own new material? Most HAT weapons mind you are Tandem Warheads.

The issue with these tandem warheads are that most of them tend to be incapable of destroying the frontal armor of MBTs. The loss of a 2-hit kill front shot could be addressed with making the HATs more numerous, especially after the ERYX nerf. I was thinking about editing the T-72 to have a material that would be equally resistant to the projectile fired by the T-62, but also more vulnerable to the Tandem Rounds and modern APFSDS, but maps would have to be rebalanced.

Edit: On other thought, side armor + more hitpoints should work.
