mine either front tread and toss the c4 on the rear. many times it is enough to trigger the mine. for the rest, the driver will panic fearing an unseen tank had hit them, and again, trigger the mine. this is also the only surefire way to kill abandoned armor with the engineer without many c4 and wasting 5 minutes

Yeah explosion damage in this engine cannot change depending on where it hits, only impact damage :|

Alright, so large C4 on the tank doesn't destroy it. I understand the CE is not meant to be an AT role, but still. Good to know that large+small C4 gets the job done however. But what about C4 on tracks detracking? I think that would be realistic.

From what I know C4 can only disable tanks in real life. Sometimes weapons are designed to do one thing but then turn out to be useful in many things. In real life C4 doesn't do that. But in PR it can actually kill tanks completely. So it is more useful than it should be.

Part of the issue I have is that since the C4 doesn't stick to a target the smaller version can end up quite far if you don't place it prone next to the target AFV. Despite what is said there are times when you will come across an AFV and prefer to use some C4 instead of an anti-tank rocket. For example you might wipe out a squad near an APC and want to destroy that APC while saving any LATs or HATs for other threats (or in the case of many Co-op games where you can have a bot AFV sitting somewhere with no gunner). Allowing the C4 to stick would allow it to do the maximum damage, and would take into account the fact that in real life you would have placed it where it can do more damage.

The old C4 lost its stickiness due to its use in homemade bomb-cars. This is no longer as much of an issue due the the timer making it hard to tell when the bomb will go off, and OPFOR factions can't steal it very well in INS mode.

Both big and small C4 stick to every object.

If you killed a squad next to an APC, the likelihood of C4 said vehicle is almost null. If you have a L-AT or a H-AT than use it, that is why they exist.

(ninja'ed by everyone)

False. It only sticks to vehicles. It does not stick to statics.

ObjectTemplate.collision.stickToStaticObjects 1

That's the line it requires :) .
