Age =/= maturity
Trust me, you are old enough to play a video-game with common sense at 11 years old
Once, I had a more consistent conversation than I usually get with other adults while speaking to a 8 years old girl
Under-estimate the youth and you'll end-up outplayed by them

I was like 11 when I started in .97. Just one man solo a Panther and roll on some kids, that'll show them who's boss.

That SL kicked me, because "Advicing SL is wrong desicion, kick on you !"
That's his issue. Not yours, mine or anyones.

Well, I do agree to an extent, but we were all like that once in our life! Well, majority of us. I don't mind when they use mumble, except when they consistently talk about non-relevant things. Like last night some kid was acting bad donkey and acting like he was completely stoned. Hearing: "yeeeaaahhh maannn" and him blowing through a straw to his drink to make it sound like he was using a water bong. However, I don't mind them as long as they listen and keep talking to a minimum. Well, same somewhat goes to others. But I generally don't discriminate against kids. Just learn to keep those lips sealed.

Good Evening,
I'm a teacher so I put up with kids all freaking day. When I'm on PR, I'd rather not put up with a kid. That being said doesn't mean that I won't try to help but if you didn't read the manual, don't bother joining my squad. Do your homework first then put the knowledge into action.
Some bits of advice I have to younger players, <25, don't go off on all some kind of power trip because your an SL and get to boss around older players. Don't use "fighting words" when making a point.
I tend to think that I'm sometimes too polite as an SL. I do like to talk because it is more of a hangout for me as well as playing the game. Kind words go a long way. For example, DutchCourage the other day wished me and my family a happy Easter as well as hoped that my church attendance that day was good for all. It was a very short conversation and I don't remember all the words I just remember how it made me feel as in, it was true kindness. We all have our bad days, and such is life. Oh well, I've rambled on enough.
Bottom line, learn the players, SL's, admins, rules, server environment, and acknowledge that we are all from very different upbringings, backgrounds, opinions, and cultures.

I have a tendency to not allow younger players in my squad, simply because my past experience has shown them as quite unreliable and too talkative at the wrong moments. Could be that I'm doing a few of em injustice, I probably do, but on the other hand I reserve the right to spent my free time with whoever I see fit and I don't have the time to figure out whether each and every person joining my squad meets my expectations.

Because even if the older players are 25+, they too behave like 9 year olds.
"hihi he has still a high pitched voice" "hihihi he is a girlll!! a giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrllllllll"

The maturity level on any given night in PR isn't horrible, so long as you don't consider the start/end of rounds. I wish they would just limit the talking to squads and SLs instead of opening it up to the entire team.
I would love to put a plan together in the beginning and discuss the after action at the end, but the constant chatter, music and adolescent behavior during these times just makes me mute my mumble.
I will then sometimes forget to unmute it when the next round starts.

It varies on different servers too. (Especially different regions).
But it seems as if there are more kids from the US than other regions. (I am stating kids as 17 and below, and adults as 18+). I wouldn't say every single kid is annoying and as useful as a twig, but there are a decent chunk of them who are. Judging a book by its cover certainly isn't the correct thing to do, but I will judge them how they play and during the first 5 minutes of them joining, whether or not they will be somewhat decent or not.
However, I don't even think there is more than 100 kids on PR (that are actively engaged in the game every night, ect.). Maybe a yearly total of 1,000 kids play PR, but the numbers are small. Every few rounds or so you'll have a youth in your team. I don't care who you are, if I am the squad leader, you follow my orders. But if I warn you about something, not to do it, then you better not whine at me.
But if you join an APC squad or Tank squad of mine, I expect you to know how to operate the bloody gun!!! I will be hopping around on PR this weekend, so I might do a little bit of a "Study" my self regarding kids and using assets. Comparing to older players. So, kiddies, hop on PR this weekend.

If you have a squeaky voice and are a good player, don't talk more than necessary.

I get **** from people sometimes because I'm too quiet due to no one playing on Aussie servers which means playing American servers and so i can only play late at night and have to practically whisper in a loud gunfight because if im yelling DELTA FOXTROT TANGO SIX VEGAS CHARLIE GOT US PINNED ON THIS HILL REQUESTING EXTRACTION ON ALPHA WHISKEY BINGO FREE MEN ARE DYING OUT HERE, then my parents would boot down the door saying i need to go to sleep and get a job or pack my stuff and get the hell out of their house already, or better yet join the army so i get some self discipline instead of smoking weed jerking off and playing PR.
I'm 16 but in Australia you're considered a man by 15 which means i can drive a car, buy alcohol and smokes from most run down deli's and service stations in areas with high crime, sell dodgy iPhones to kebab shops, BUT legally i can't buy a gun in any case whereas in America you can get a gun of any caliber with a side of fries at Walmart if you're over 6, but you're not considered a man until 21 maybe even later.

I like this answer to the question
Me personally I can tolerate a young kid's voice if they have something useful to say or are actually funny.
If they are speaking self-indulgently or lacking wit, I'd rather not hear them at all
Has a lot to do with maturity
Back when I played recreational paintball, the 11-12 year old kids were funny and it was good to hear from them
13-16 year olds too
Because they were having fun

Just don't try and copy what the "older" kids are doing. Most of that shit is annoying as hell, and us "mature" folks would love to boot the lot of them.
If you can be yourself and be productive in the game, then I could care less what your voice sounds like, so long as you don't "try too hard", and you contribute to the overall experience of the squad.
Just get on with it and you will learn as you go.
