I am working hard to make a super wide variety of different path

The mountain will all be climable on foot with steep roads

Right now, the biggest mountain have 4 different road access at the ground level to climb on its hill top (with even more road access as you climb up)

Although, I need to know how to play it in-game! the turorial only explain how to make a BF2 vanilla map

AAS and Insurgency is diffrent

I think the gravity is slightly different in the editor, I seem to have more friction on the ground than in-game

Image

:)

4Km map are good but I made this map a 1 KM map for 3 reason
1: Make it infantry friendly
2: Easy and fun to play
3: Optimized for low performance computer

My opinion on the look of it is that its not overly stretched..

NOTE: Everything that you see is not a representative vision of the finished product and will be improved

yea, thats not going to work, you have to make your mountains lower and make the map bigger, there is no way you can have those types of mountains in a 1km map.. just look at Korengal, thats a 1km map, and those mountains are already hard enough to climb, and they are not even half as high as yours

Can't you read ? I have tested all the roads and they are all functionnal and easy to take

I don'T know why you all seem to hate Korengal, this map is formidable.

Only thing is that it require an higher level of teamplay to enjoy it.
I had some of my best PR experience in this map

Why do everyone want easy map?.... Come on, make your brain at work! Improve ur tactic!

We need maps that have different approach than just gettin in an APC and sitting in a good spot to shoot everything... Honestly..

I need to know how to run the map in PR.
I compressed Client and Server, I see the map in PR, but when I try to make a local server and run it, as soon as i press ''launch game'' the game crash!

haha, did YOU read, i did not write anything bad about that map, as its one of my favourites also. But the reason Korengal works is because you can actually fight in the hillsides, this is just some wide open paths with no cover..

and your "easy map" comment is kinda odd, because nobody will want to play a map when the gameplay is bad.. There needs to be a flow in the gameplay, and your current setup prevents just that. There are 100s of ways to make new and exciting gameplay, but making the map impossible to traverse is not one of them. You will have to rework alot of the areas on the map, but dont let that discurrage you, as every map has potential, you can still make this Map great again, litteraly the best.

and for your crash problem, this should help you out:
An Error Has Occurred!

Is that sarcasm rabbit
If not thank you!

Zeno, keep in mind The image I provided so far are only 'conceptual' vision for you to imagine the final product.

In fact, right now I am placing 'tactical' trees that will block vision and allow infantry to move safely in different area of the map

All the path I create are designed with a predefined number of visual access and they all have their counter-measure possiblities. :)

I would still need a modeller to make 3 steps and 5 steps staircase.
And 15 meters and 25 meters North-Afghan style bridges.
If you are a modeller and interested, It would be greatly appreciated!!

Shame, there was a community moddeler on the forums some weeks ago, he could probably have made that for you 8)

Wait, hold on. Is this guy Darwin? He joined the forums after Darwin's meltdown and acts extremely similar to the way Darwin did.

Seems to be a pattern.

Does anyone know any funny Darwin quotes for my sig?

EDIT: Sorry WhattheHell for going off topic here, but I must really commend your work so far.

I've always wanted a true mountainous map set in Afghanistan, as Korengal is seldom played by most servers

WhatTheHell is also from an island nation. Wasn't Darwin from Fiji?

I know Cape Verde is on the opposite side of the globe, but here we have a person that joins the forum days after Darwin had his meltdown, who acts similar to Darwin, is interested in similar aspects of development like modeling and mapping, understands PR like a vet of the game even though his profile has only been around for a week, makes the same modeling mistakes Darwin made, and is also from an island nation.

This is all oddly similar.

Also WhatTheHell posts in a very similar format that Darwin used. See below.

I'm spending way too much time on this, but I think it's hysterical.

Darwin:

I can see now that PR lifetime will have an expiration date...

Unless some badass programmers come put a touch of excellence in the core. And modify these weaknesses.
Like the fact that BF2 will only use 1 processor in your computer..

With 20+ Gig's games of todays, I thought there was space for incredible amount of new content and therefore alot of potential for PR future.

But everything is stretched to its maximum already O_o

Unless one day you decide to give it a fresh new start and remove all the map, return to Zero and
make new content but this time with all the knowledge gathered in the past years to only release extremely optimized maps/meshes/animation/sounds/TEXTURES.. etc etc

Haha, textures palettes needs to be redone :P

Both WhatTheHell and Darwin indent and add extra spaces in between paragraphs. They both use ellipses a lot. They both use emojis or attempt at using them. This could all be the work of two different 13 year old girls or it could be the man who asked to be banned last week.

While you guys are debating on whether or not I am the forefather of evolution theory, I will ask my question again, since the tutorial I was recommended by Zeno didnt help me at all..

So when I try to click ''start server'' in local match making with my map, The PR.exe program shut down before I can even see a loading bar!

Also, I cannot see the vehicles in the editor. Only light-blue boxes.

Here an apetizer :)
