I didn't know this either and I have been playing PR alone for over 314 hours.
This will be a huge help in not giving away my position just to see what firing mode I am in.
And as UGH said, cheers to those in the clan who already knew this and despite both me and UGH complaining about it on TS, never mentioned it to us.
We could start a whole other thread on things people have only just discovered after playing for hundreds of hours. For example I had been playing BF2 for about 500 hours before I realised that if you fire an AT rocket and hold your button on your can guide the missile easily. For all those hours I had been firing it, releasing the mouse button and guiding the thing blind by moving the mouse whilst the guy reloaded.
But the upside to that noobness is that I am now superleet with the AT rocket (as the CWE guys will tell ya).
