I wanted do say something fairly spicy, since noone else did.
But then I was very surprised at how calm the response is so far. Great effort, PR community!

Are you kidding me? If you want no recoil and to be able to sprint forever, go back to Call of Duty. As far as the community, it's fine. We have a couple of cancerous people, but for the most part its great. Constructive criticism is fine, but I hate it when people whine and complain about the game, considering it is free.

Exactly.

Of course badmouthing the community is going to achieve great results when asking for community support.
You're not actually expecting us to make you a spokesperson of ours, are you?

Not really, the bleed system sucks, but is because of the black screen that happens every few seconds... if this is to simulate a blink, well I never got shoot, but the amount of time that your screen is black is probably too much, and give a GIANT disadvantage if you are going CQB, or after being revived, if there was only the Blurry/Red Blood Screen, would be better.
Now 2 things that make me angry(but not quit PR) is:
Giant 4km map after giant 4km map w/ cas and all(man I don't remember when was the last time that I played that certain 1-2km map)
And SQL that attack the enemy flag but decide to not slay the enemy, instead hide in the CapZone(why attack anyway then)

I too think the community is cancerous, especially those folks that complain about a gun that's absolutely fine, with which almost no one else has issues, fuck these guys.

? Insurgency mode, cause I never liked it !
? Rush tactics at the beginning of a roud, cause is plain and stupid, based on luck
Apart from this PR is still an awesome game and it will take time to the most similar game SQUAD to reach that level.
There are no alternatives : PR is a one of a kind.

The falling damage is incredibly annoying, and the blood effect is way to exaggerated..
But i think the rest is fine, since the game is very old

That has nothing to do with the age of the game. Fall damage is common is pretty much all the FPSs and the blood effect is ok - you're not supposed to go around 360 quickscoping everyone after being shot.

what everyone that doesn't like the "Bloodscreen" is not the blood screen, its the black effect that happens every time you bleed... so every 2 seconds...

I wish I could take some of the people complaining about settle time and recoil out shooting. There's plenty that's not actually in PR. At no point do I have to get a proper eye relief for the scope. You never have to account for the 7-10pound weapon. There's no sway or breathing effect.
PR has done the best it can with what it has. At this point I'm tired of writing gameplay>realism.

To further iterate my previous posts.
I've been playing with the PR recoil system and I have to say I really like it compared to other games.
I've noticed that Intermediate Caliber Rifles and their Carbine variants all have the same recoil when allowed to settle down and fired in single shot mode, at about 3 degrees per shot. Battle Rifles, Shotguns, Bolt Actions and other full power cartridge weapons have a recoil of 4.5 degrees per shot. Where as Pistol, SMG, and PDWs have about 1.5 degrees per shot. But in full auto the recoil on follow up shots after the first shot is anywhere from 50-75% lower(It varies depending on the weapon). And the guns can and do recoil sideways too, but not laterally as with other games, but more smoothly, in a semi-circular pattern like a protractor. Also after each shot the weapon drops down to the horizontal position of where the sights were before firing. Which IMO is a really nice touch.
Now compare PR's recoil mechanics to a game like BF3. It's night and day. Sure BF3's recoil is much lower. But the problem is the lateral recoil, it's very jarring. The weapon violently throws the recoil to one side. It feels like you're making a staircase pattern when firing, most guns do end up making a sharp 90 degree turn with every bullet fired. It's actually quite harsh and annoying. My biggest gripe is that most weapons drop like a stone after firing, it looks cool but it's annoying because you cant compensate for shit without your gun ending up lower than where it was when you first pulled the trigger, Just like so many other modern FPS games(Payday 2, CoD, Etc).
In closing. Yes PR could do a few things to further improve the recoil mechanics and differentiate the weapons more from one another(M16A4 and M4 shouldn't be statistical copies of one another), but all in all PR has the best recoil system of any game I've played.

For what it's worth the M4 and m16a4 aren't exact copies of each other. Compared to the M4 the M16a4 has a higher muzzle velocity, slightly better minimum deviation and lower recoil but both deploy time and deviation settle time is longer than on M4. I agree it's nigh impossible to tell the difference in-game but there is a bit of a difference

.

What do you mean muzzle velocity? IRL or ingame? I thought PR uses hitscan for all weapons but the Launchers.
I've noticed that accuracy wise the M16A4 is better than the M4, Especially when using the iron sights. At first I thought it was just the thinner front sight on the M16, but when using the ACOG and all other variables being the same, I noticed the shots deviating less with the M16.
Also is there MOA in this game? It's much easier for me to land a headshot with the longer barrel length AR-15 variants. Especially as Hamas.

I mean in-game, you can have a look here how different weapons compare.
Assault Rifles - Project Reality Tournament Wiki
MOA is just through the deviation mechanic, sniper rifles (when fully settled) will be more accurate compared to just the bog standard rifles.

I never knew about this. Thank you. But is there bullet drop? Or do rounds disappear after a certain range? I've noticed that the ERYX rockets do that at about 600m.

Can you explain further? How is the spread calculated? Is it like this; 'X' degrees at 'X' meters multiplied by range. E.G. 1 MOA at 100M = 1 inch/centimeter spread, 1MOA at 200M = 2 inch/centimeter spread, 1MOA at 300M = 3 inch/centimeter spread, etc. Or is it fixed spread regardless of range? Say X inch/centimeter spread at all ranges.

I agree, the recoil feels very "violent". For example, in CS:GO (okay maybe shouldn't compare but anyways) the recoil is somewhat controllable and "smooth". Also you can get good if you learn the recoil pattern. In PR it's about luck and coincidence if the recoil is in your favor in CQC. But like in COD, what I have played, the guns feel like laser guns (no recoil).
