Note how a dev has never said what era we set the game in. But i agree with Patrick, it's probably not best to put future vehicles in the game because they always change, if you wan't a good example look at our puma as it was made while the vehicle was still very much a prototype and then compare it to the vehicles coming into service now.

The thing is, its going to feel like another MEC/Russian type faction.

In that case do we really need it? But if you really want to do it, I'm sure there will be a lot of stuff that is different. What you can do to make it stand out is maps with statics that are characteristic for our countries, and then slowly as the Serbian army adopts some of the new vehicles, you can get them in the game, just like the Russians got the Tigr now.

Whats going on with the faction? Are you guys still working on it, or its been cancelled ?

I would suggest for now to replace Militia on some maps. For example Dragon Fly. Then the map would be more balanced because Brithish arny is OP on that map because they have scoper, better vehicles..., and Serbian army have better weapons and vehicles than Militia.

That is good idea, but there is nobody making faction. There were only ideas, and one guy trying to steal work of other mod. Also, this plan is not great in my opinion (like making 3 jeeps and then choosing one), whit many assets that are not used in large numbers. Not to add, that one map would not be enough. We would need to make new maps.

I think easiest part of hole story would be to plan and make Serbian faction. There is enough assets in game to make one already. What real problem are that we do not have many people whit modding skills inside Serbian subcommunity of PR and we do not organised ourselves to even try that. If we organised first, we can maybe start learning all skills that we need, but that is first big problem, we never organised. All proposals for Serbian faction were from one guy that comes, drops faction plan and does nothing pretty much. And then some other guy repeats hole process.

Sadly, we've stopped working on this Faction a while ago now due to lack of time and resources. We managed to make some new stuff, but we had sooo many problems with it. Clearly it's not a job for 2-3 not so experienced guys...

Zastava cz99 - Pistol - I aleady own the model.
BVP M-80A - IFV
TAM110 - Truck - I aleady own the model.
FAP 1118 or FAP 2026 - Truck
PMA-2 - AP Mine - I aleady own the model.

Plus - minus vehicle, but thats basically it.

Already there are many models in PR but there are still models which need to be made. The question is who would this faction be facing with ?

The faction could be renamed FRY Yugoslavia or Serbia and Montenegro, if we would re-create some of 90s scenarios. However we could not make Croatian or "Bosnian" faction because FRY Yugoslavia was never involved in direct war.

The only thing left is Albanian terrorist faction UCK. And for that faction there are already present models in game, they had similar if not the same equipment as Hamas.

And all the equipment Serbia/FRY Yugoslavia had at the time is correct above.


Someone who has experience in PR modding / re-texturing should form a group of people and be leader of this project. Im willing to be a part of a it and i could be of use as a 3D modeler.


FRY Yugoslvian / Serbian faction truly deserves place in PR. And it would be a shame if it doesn't appear in the game.

Are there up to PR standards? If they are not, you can just scrap them and start from scratch.

M76 is used in squads, while M91 is rear and originally was made for export only.

You have bunch of BOVs that would be nice to have in game.
Land Rover or Puch can also be added and there are already in game.

No need for that. Just make modern SAF.

Militia is better for that.

I think there is nobody in sub Serbian community of PR that has great modding experience.
And on end of the day, biggest issues are maps. Whitout maps, faction is dead.

Is this still in development? Would like to see SAF in PR.
