13 years is enough time to upgrade, own it. lol @ PR court of law! ;) Not the dev's intention, nor their responsibility to cater to everyone - their focus is on their game and no court of law would hold them accountable in your scenario because the system requirements for their software are clearly stated, and no guarantee has been issued ensuring everyone with every hardware will be able to use their software. We feel for ya, seriously, but you're really pulling at straws at this point to try to crucify the devs for their decision, or rather their decision to remain firm after your report.

That being said, still, sympathies and best wishes to you! Hope you can rejoin us all in PR again someday soon! Work hard, have fun!

Dedicated cards that are equivalent in performance to mobile counterparts manage high effects without hitch (surprising) which leads me to believe that any lag is specific to integrated GPUs is the result of a feature intentionally omitted, or perhaps coded a certain way at driver level. I have seen this before, for example windows screensavers lag like hell on intel laptops due to a driver wrapper component, in place to extend battery life by putting the GPU into low performance mode.

I'm not advocating spending hundreds, I hate upgrades myself, but consider selling your laptop and investing in a setup. Shouldn't cost more than ~£50 excluding peripherals.

This, my game runs somewhere around 30 FPS after the beta patch, but i cannot fire 50.cals for the life of me isnce it drops down to 5 FPS doue to smoke.

Yep, Had same problem when my graphic card died out. I was forced to use old one for some time and pretty much couldnt play game because of smoke when I fired gunnes.

" forced high effects = anticheat / antiexploiting measure as explained by a dev , i read this "

i just was quoting an dev post, you can search it at this forum by yourself
that is not my opinion.

pc/ laptop technology standard is raising constantly so that a machine that can play bf3 will play PR mostly

if you have a lower settings/ technology pc and cannot play PR i recommend you to play soldnersecretwars.de/main.php?page=download&lang=en , lol

nuff said from me...

I've heard that a few times from various players. It seems that PR is simply no longer a game that you can continue playing without hardware upgrades. Used to be, but ain't no more.

I wanted to be sure that devs were intentionally holding the game in a state that rendered it unplayable to some players due to the perceived benefit of making it easier to hide from the enemy, and this wasn't a pure accident due to affected players not reporting the problem. Now I know. I think that's a bad decision. Others disagree. I can see that nothing will change though.

Thanks to devs for their input. Thanks to those who have submitted further evidence for the problem I raised.

I guess that's that.

If it really is such a big issue for you, I suggest that you have a look at tweaking those effects yourself. Main issue is that I can tweak it all day and not know if it has any effect as the impact is not that massive for me. We will gladly help anyone that tackles this task.
