It doesn't matter already due to fact that we are not allowed to take anything what we want from other games without permission (and i dont think DICE will give it so easily). So i think we must record our own voices and BFBC2 could be good sample to compare with.
LiamBai wrote:If I'm not mistaken a lot of the voices are done by the community. Certainly the German and Argentinian voices are, and I'd guess the French, Polish and Dutch ones too. AFAIK it's just a case of recording(with good quality ideally) the relevant lines for each case and then having two versions of each, one with radio static and one without.

Given the fairly sizeable Japanese community, I don't think getting voices done would be a big issue. In fact, people would probably line up to do it if the JSDF faction was nearing completion. :D
I see. So the voices are not in the top priority things. Then i will move my focus on something else. Thank you for explanation

Probably these Japanese files such as included in BFBC2, BF1942 are not allowed to use in PR-mod due to copyright.
However that time will come sooner or later.
As Liam san says, people in Japanese PR community will help if the developing team for JSDF is recruiting volunteers for voice acting.
Of course I will help you but I have no skills/knowledges about modelling, programming and voice acting etc.
Please do not hesitate to order me if you need anything I can do(posting on JP PR community, asking question/researching for japanese ministry of defense :-| ).

These requirments (2nd thread link) and advices are exactly what i was looking for. Thank you.

About japanese PR community support, i will be glad if they will participate in development. We need 3 different voices for record and i hope Japanese community will respond.

Wouldn't the boxer be a better place holder for the apc?

No, because there are no boxers in Japan, while some US troops there have Strikers, so in theory they can participate in battle in Japan. Last time i was checking JSDF armament i found out that some AAV7A1's are on thier service, so i am thinking to change place holder on it.

I mean a place holder in terms of how it looks. Just reskin it or something in the mean time.

Hmm, i thought place holders should be selected in a way of their possibility, not their appearance. I will think about it, but boxer still looks too tall.

Well somehow heavy body type perfectly fit japanese body armor, so now 1p and 3p body textures are done. Also i did textures for kits (except 3p LMAT and Gustav textures because i don't have models to work with yet, but i have free space for them in future), and assembled rifleman kit:

I think Anandhawk, an Indian guy, did a Carl Gustaff model. You might want to ask him about it.
VTRaptor: but i only stopped for less than 10 secs and that fucking awesome dude put 2 of them

]CIA[ SwampFox: well my definition of glitching is using an enemy kit to kill the enemy

Just_Dave: i have a list about PR players, and they r categorized by their skill

Para: You sir are an arse and not what the game or our community needs.

AlonTavor: Is that a German trying to make me concentrate?

Heavy Death: join PRTA instead - Teamwork is a must there.

Complete all kits i can at this point (the one i have shown is the only one ready) and go back to modelling weapons such as grenadier rifle grenade.
Rabbit wrote:Should already be in the devs files.
As w0lf3k said it's still incomplete.

P.S. where can i find information what body type is used on spawn with one specific kit?
