The near constant mumble lag yesterday was enormously frustrating and makes it very difficult to actually play PR.

The reason for that is an acronym which starts with a D and ends with an S.Web_cole wrote:The near constant mumble lag yesterday was enormously frustrating and makes it very difficult to actually play PR.
Should be better from now on, we're continuously working on making mumble more secure, the problems aren't our doing.

Had poor experience with SolidJabar today who gave me tb for not reviving him. This guy need to check where the borders of admin abuse are.

Re: Gamma Group
Although I'm not a big fan of playing WW2 after Vietnam (which happend yesterday), the map pool on the server is indeed better than on the other servers.
Good to see you listen to feedback. Keep it up :*.

Hello Chuva, please take a look at this clip to see why Jabar tempbanned you yesterday. https://streamable.com/7gq2j2Chuva_RD wrote:Had poor experience with SolidJabar today who gave me tb for not reviving him. This guy need to check where the borders of admin abuse are.

Re: Gamma Group
Unfortunately streamable is banned in Russia, so I cant see what is on the video. But from the first frame, I see that it does not include SolidJabar warning Rusty for "stealing" his kit because he waited for a medic. I had a conflict of interests - reviving random dude vs not reviving edgy SolidJabar, and I would ofc revive him if we asked and said "please", which he didn't. The refusal to cooperate per se are not a punishable offense, and the ruleset states that "some level of taunting is tolerated". When I was an admin on PROS I would never let myself use admin rights to solve private matters, so I see Solid resorting to tb to help his ego as a worrying sign. He probably doesn't see that the admin position comes with a responsibility to avoid personal biases and a requirement to withstand the existence of opinions of other people.LiPOTO wrote:Hello Chuva, please take a look at this clip to see why Jabar tempbanned you yesterday. https://streamable.com/7gq2j2

If someone dragged you into deep water on purpose like that so you can't be revived, wouldn't you want the guy punished?
Besides any taunting or whatever happened with you guys on a personal level, I would kick/tempban for this particular act aswell, that's such a dumb thing to do

Re: Gamma Group
This seems to be an issue many servers suffer from so here is a copy-paste.Web_cole wrote:What this looks like is that admins are essentially gerrymandering votes to get the results that they want. For example, if you put:
then those who want to play a 4km asset map have one choice in Kashan, whereas those who want to play a 2km map have 2 choices and thus the 2km vote will be split, making it more likely that Kashan will win.1. Iron Ridge 2. Fools Road 3. Kashan Desert
What would certainly appear more fair (and balanced™) is if mapvotes featured 3 similar maps or 3 different maps, such as all 2km urban maps or a 4km inf map, a 4km asset map and a 4km hybrid map. Such as:
and1. Muttrah 2. Marlin 3. Outpost
as potential examples.1. Wanda 2. Kashan 3. Xiangshan

Could always do a few votes to narrow it down. ingame voting multiple times has never bothered me.Web_cole wrote:This seems to be an issue many servers suffer from so here is a copy-paste.

Re: Gamma Group
I would think some simple vote structuring guidelines like don't put 2km and 4km maps in the same vote, don't run votes where similar maps could get played back to back would suffice.Rabbit wrote:Could always do a few votes to narrow it down. ingame voting multiple times has never bothered me.
Like if you are currently running an asset map don't put any asset maps in the vote. Its really not rocket surgery to say "We are currently running X type of map so the next mapvote should feature 3 of Y type maps".

Re: Gamma Group
I saw your post on another server's feedback thread and I thought it made a lot of sense, we currently do mapvotes in this order: 2km mapvote, 2km mapvote, 4km mapvote. We try to put comparable maps in the votes, and we don't combine map sizes and gamemodes in a single vote (an example would be a vote along the lines of Kashan, Goose Green, Lashkar).Web_cole wrote:This seems to be an issue many servers suffer from so here is a copy-paste.
And yes, in the future we'll try not to put WW2 in the vote after a Vietnam map and vice versa.

Re: Gamma Group
I think we complained on Gamma about a vote that was like: Kashan, Shijia, Vadso - this can also be seen as a "suggestive" vote because forest-votes are split in favour of Kashan. Anyway, in this case Vadso won and everyone was happy.Web_cole wrote:In fairness to y'all I totally brainfarted and posted the above in the wrong thread. That's on me, sorry

I would suggest to be more bold in only putting just 2 maps in the vote, not making a mapvote at all, or announcing a pre-set maplist for the evenings that Gamma is seeded
