I have some video links where they cut up tarps or whatever and create arm and headbands. The titles are usually in arabic, sometimes everyone in a group of 50-100 put it on, sometimes only a few of them. We need thin strips, not a big arm band that looks like it was bought. All arm bands are improvised and not uniformly cut unless time was taken to prepare them from a template or its provided by foreign Russian or American allies to these groups when fighting along side, cause they all look and dress the same. The arm bands simply need to be smaller and skinny to be harder to see like IRL. No wider than duct tape.Unicode wrote:Remove the armbands wtf, you're ruining the fun, in irl conflicts they're having problems recognizing friendlies and foes too, and they have no minimap
Here is some guys with red head and arm bands made from cut up material https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywq_7zZ5288
More arm bands at 1:21 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL1ci60f5do
Yellow arm bands with green head bands at 0:50 here, even a yellow sling at 3:28 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjlAEL-1DgI
Some of the guys in this video have arm bands as they walk through building https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssq2Dea ... 125&t=163s
There are other videos i saw im trying to find where i saw different groups putting on blue and red at beginning ripping up the tarp. at 10:53 mark in this video there are blue bands (as shown in thumb nail) a Syrian group is using, there are other pink and red strips lazily hung off fighters through out video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZfinEC2dJo
One fighter seen somewhere in beginning of video having red arm band tied on. But appears to be only one fighter or they are showing many different units from this attack, every group working together brings their own vehicles. I guess its "optional" and taken without consideration that an enemy might do the same thing causing somebody who knows their friendly has it to hesitate shooting enemy with red arm band for fear of shooting friendly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_dM53OeD-I
Solution for IRL, not everyone needs an arm band and another way to identify removing confusion is have half each group thats in view of each other have arm bands and half group plain. If only half the group has it you ID by what you do and dont see. Another way im sure i have seen is red right arm, blue left arm or whatever large tarp/banner color material you can find for the variation. If their fighters are spotted with red arm bands it would allow enemy to put on their own if they can find it or have it on hand for that purpose of confusion advantage, a seconds hesitation is the advantage.
In real life whether its friendly or enemy a firefight starts and they dont have a commo rose for "check fire". It just ends up being a firefight regardless of known identity and becomes personal because they are being shot at regardless of friendly or enemy. Whether its stupid confused friendly or enemy, they hate them and want to kill them. With small units they know each other typically but when they mass on all sides for a push these kinds of things happen.
