You are being overly dramatic.
People get lost in the action and things seem worse than they really are until you go back and actually look at what is really happening.
Re-watch the video
Ason posted.
You are not blind as soon as you get a minor wound.
The effect does not really get in the way of your vision significantly until you are below
25% health.

Looks completely fine up until <25% health at which point the only thing you need to be able to see is some cover for a medic to heal you. Makes sense not to be able to fire at targets over 50m away when you're clinging for dear life.
On a side note, a slight red tint might be a good idea to indicate that you're hit and not suppressed.

And playing with the new effect and then switching back to the old one to compare, you really couldn't see shit with the blood texture on the screen before. Your under fire visibility is actually better now than it was, it's just not what you are expecting.
The issue is that its not linear as before, you knew when the bleed effect was coming and it was static you knew exactly how to work with it while still hindering your vision. Now its just a complete Dark Fuck you your vision seems like gets a lot more obstructed and the black is way more tunnel vision than the red which was slightly transparent, the HP darkness feels so bad lm loosing because a dude is simply able to get a shot on me and now l cant see. I still need some more time for constructive feedback but it just hinders the gameplay
WingWalker wrote:Lone wolfs would be very annoyed with this change for sure.
I like that is is annoying people here.
... which makes you want to get healed, so players will need to team work more or communicate more with medics and squads.
This has absolutely nothing to do with Teamwork, the people complaining aren't even lonewolfs personally lm a Medic/SL main most often than not healing is not a issue or teamwork. People always looked for Medics this wasn't even a issue otherwise you would have died, the only people that could be independent are Medics or SLs, as soon as you get hit "you have to" search for a Medic to be able to see anything and we both know how that results
The issue here is how BS it is and prevents you from shooting back and having a regular firefight which is like, l dunno perhaps the objective of a FPS? Next step is to reduce the sprint so you only use it while under fire to simulate soldiers movement so rounds can last 3h for maximum realism, increadible fun lm cumming so hard with this realism and bad gameplay

I haven't had the opportunity to play with it yet so I will refrain from commenting. Although the people I normally agree with seem to universally think it is a bad thing.
I keep reading how this is supposedly realistic and while I have admittedly never been shot, that notion sort of goes against everything I seem to remember to have learned in school(which yes was a while ago). Assuming the eye organ or the brain doesn’t get injured and you don’t pass out, why would your vision go black or get worse at all?
I could have sworn Adrenaline quite literally does the exact opposite, opening the blood vessels in your eyes so they let in more light and you have a higher chance at spotting things. The only realistic way you are walking at all at 50% health is a shit load of adrenaline I imagine. Would love to learn something new today, so if I'm wrong I would appreciate it if any of the realism people can get me a link with the explanation. That being said, even if I am wrong, I think Gameplay should trump Realism in these kinds of cases.

When can we expect a decision on whether this bleeding change will be reverted or not? I tried to play a few more rounds and it was an awful experience. This is broken and needs fixing

Feel free to get shot at with a military implement anywhere you like(and how often), and then return to give us an evidence-backed suggestion of how to portray the bleed effect.

Why is it broken? Until you go below 25% you can see pretty good. Sure, it's not like it is when you're at 100% but that's the point. And under 25% it is no issue at all to be able to find cover.

Exactly this. I've always treated PR as a tactical shooter rather than a simulator, even though it has "reality" in its name. It's a game we enjoy to play, and this new effect is annoying me to the point, that I will simply quit. But some people here seem to like it because it fucks those who are actually good at FPS games, I wonder why.

Instead of making it so complicated, just ask yourself.. Have you passed out before?
If you haved, make the system similar to that.
If you haven't I'm sure people here have. And I'm sure your vision doesn't just go black, it gets distorted and 'cloudy' for lack of a better word.

I have only played a couple of rounds, but it did make them considerably more frustrating after getting shot. Yes, the blood effect did look little dated, like early 2010s, but the game is literally 2005. Nobody complained about the blood effect. The new wounded effect simply obscures too much vision to the point that following a medic's instructions about where to go when revived or on low health can be unnecessarily difficult. Maybe widen the cone of vision, but that would be confused with the suppression effect, which I very much like. The blood effect obscured enough of your vision for the desired. If anything, bring back the black and white effect if possible at <10% health.

Go play ARMA no need to slowly erase the fun and personality of this game

Cause the old bleed system was there for a long time everyone got used to it and the update was sudden players didn't know if they were getting hit or suppressed. players just have to adapt to the situation it may take a couple of weeks or months playing but players would get used to it over time maybe tweak the darkness on the hp to see a Lil better but quitting and complaining is not gonna help just keep playing and the devs will find a way to resolve the issue.

Very interesting comment. I like it a lot. Mainly because the video shows the bleeding effect present in the current game version. The same one you complained about.
BubblyNinja wrote:
Perhaps it should be stated that the bleeding effect does not appear at all above 75% of health and anything above ~40% of health is actually way less severe than the old bleeding effect. In practice it means most of non-combat damage (like jumping a few meters down from a wall) will not impact your efficiency as much as before. To get this high falling damage (over 60%) you need to jump from a 3rd floor (around 13m height).
In terms of the red colour, it is already present although it may be fading out too quickly.

So a texture fully covering your screen for almost a second (old bleed) does not obstruct the view as much as a tunnel effect which, as the name suggests, never fully blocks the center of the screen (new bleed)? This is a very interesting theory but perhaps it should be reconsidered.

Guess i was able to concentrate more on the effect itself now than in the middle of battle before.

All i saw back then was black

, and i did noticed later that the red fades too quick the lower your health goes

It hardly erases anything in the experience of PR.
Drama Queen.

Thing is, even in Arma its easier to kill AIs (Gonna say AIs instead of Players since Arma is primarily PvE) with low health than in PR at this point. Arma doesn't make your entire screen go pitch black so on a realism scale PR is as bad/worse than a COD game in terms of wounded/low health portrayal.

I have gotten used to the new effect a little more, but I still think it needs adjustment. Mainly because it isn't immediately clear if I've have been hit or if I'm suppressed.

The last update increased the amount of red from initial hit quite a bit. Is it still not noticeable enough?
