I agree in increasing the ammo of the support kit.
The support kit is very useful especially in Hills of Hamgyong, while playing as the British, where you spray across the hills to keep the chinese lay low,in order to let your teammates to get up to the hill.
Most of the time, i ran out of ammo within a very short amount of time.Since i'm doing it from the base and most of the players are already storming the hill, which lead to difficulties when it comes replenishing ammo.
I noticed the scarce amount of Rifleman too, there are SOME player using the rifleman kit in the Chinese and British teams.(probably due to the attractive weapon lol)
But in MEC and US teams, there are only 1-2 rifleman out of ten players, and most of the time when you ran out of ammo, they are not around you.

I have also suggested increasing the ammunition for the automatic rifles and LMGs/GPMGs in the past, and especially now that they are limited kits, so it might be in for a later version.'[3rd wrote:Sonders']nah, i wouldnt go as far as put ammo dumps everywhere. Just upping the ammo count is good enough.
PS: it would also be cool if you guys can add a Night image intensification sight (Kite Sight) which is a scope for the C9/SAW, which is not like a sniper scope. It has a mag of 3.4 power.
As for the image intensification sight, we already have NVGs on night maps, so it would be redundant. I'm not sure if its possible to have that effect tied to the weapon secondary fire button/zoom, but then again I'm not a coder.
The M145 MGO (ELCAN variant almost identical to C79 sight) for the SAW or SUSAT for the L110A1 might be possible someday, but I think there'd be concern about overpowering the LMGs again.

whoever does that is inexperienced at the AR. Because if they were like that, to deploy the bipods, you would have to reach for them causing you to wast presious and valuble time. But if they are retracted inwards, all you need to do is fling them open and your done.

you can switch between NV, and DV.

Yeah, give the support kit more ammo already. Like Dead said, one or two more should do it.BetterDeadThanRed wrote:Can we just throw in another 200 round drum or two and call it a day?

I agree that the Amount of drums/clips a Automatic rifleman should carry should be greatly increased. The only situation i can see the rifleman being essential to the Auto rifleman is digging in a defensice position, or ANY PKM(ONLY if that thing is a 50cal MG, not sure if it is). If the PKM is a 50cal, i think it should only be able to be fired from the crouched and prone position.
On the note of adding other items to a soldiers inventory, as the insurgents have molotov cocktails, wouldnt it be nice if a couple of kits had Thermite nades?
Basicly, how the molotov looks now, does 1000000000x more DMG vs Inf, medium armoured viechles and down(APC, but i dunno if it would have any effect) and assets such as AA implacements.

Keeping the bipod out increases your response time. Bullets start coming down range, you're probably gonna drop down and wanna be ready to fire.... Imagine two saw gunners run into eachother at 100m. one has bipod out, other doesn't. both drop down. The one ready to fire first wins... I never used it in combat, but when i got to train with it on patrols, i kept bipod out for faster response. it can be annoying though in high vegitation though so in that case i can understand not having it out.A-10WarthogPilot wrote:and most i see dont walk around with it folded down most have it folded forward insted of up in the hand grip

what i ment by that was it can be folded up (in the hand grip) out (out in the ready to use position) or forward (folded out but forward) ive seen many with it forward cuz all you need to do then is pull down. i just asked my bud who had a saw in iraq he said its easier to get it from forward to out because you dont need to jam yor fingers into the hand grip and all u have to do is pull toward you then so its easier... personally in game i like it in but if you can have a delay like for when you switch to pistol and back it unfolds... if u can switch it to do that when you go prone and when your crouching standing or switching it stays up
i know i forgot alotta commas and peroids lol i was typing very fast

Mongol, the PKM is 7.62.... you won't be running around with a .50 machine gun, unless you have a few people to carry it unassembled lol.... and if you could carry it assembled, you certainly wouldn't be able to use it while you were carrying it. As for the support kit guns.... I do think they need some more ammo, although I'm usually able to find some form of ammo supply pretty easily in .5.

I support adding at least 2 more drums to the Support kit. It's limited and underplayed as it is. And I know when I use it, I tend to dish out alot of suppression fire. Normally, I'm expending alot of ammunition in the process.
You really shouldn't have to rely on a rifleman through out the whole game though. You want the Rifleman to concentrate on shooting, not running back and forth with his "all in one pack of wonders" to reload every single weapon in game.

EXACTLY!
In reality, you wouldnt resupply a support gunner, if anything, he would resupply you, with all the ammo hes got. A support gunner should not always have to look around every minute for ammo.
'[R-PUB wrote:dunkellic']well, there are plenty of other methods to resupply, apart from riflemens (and resupplying is one of their duties)
The thing is, those other supply points are way to far away, and you would probly get shot trying to get to them. When and if you get to the supply whatever, it would only give you 1-2 drums max. Then it wont supply you anymore.

Not true, Assistant gunners have been used for years, ive seen soldiers carrying extra belts of SAW ammo for their SAW gunners (or for the M60 in the case of conflicts such as Vietnam) in so many pictures, from Iraq to Afghanistan, Somalia to Vietnam.
The Rifleman currently fills that role as Assistant Gunner and does this very well, a Gunners weakness is the fact that effectively they cannot engage targets at ranges over 400m (or even 300m) and so the scopes Rifleman brandishing the flashy scope and the tons of extra Ammo compliments the Gunners kit.
As for the PKM being 50., christ, only if you bench press houses for a living. The PKM is a 7.62mm GPMG, i dont believe ive seen a portable 50. MG in existence.

Thats probly cuz the gunner is already carring so much. I do that all the time. I just pawn off my ammo on people, and then when i need it, i just take it back.BlackwaterEddie wrote:Not true, Assistant gunners have been used for years, ive seen soldiers carrying extra belts of SAW ammo for their SAW gunners (or for the M60 in the case of conflicts such as Vietnam) in so many pictures, from Iraq to Afghanistan, Somalia to Vietnam.

Wrong, the maximum effective range for a saw is 1000 meters, they do not rely on riflemen to shoot thier targets. The only thing a gunner needs is somone willing to hold the extra ammo for them.
wow, this is really getting repetative. knowone uses the rifleman kit, i see about 2 in a game, and they dont even give me ammo, they just ignore me.[R-PUB wrote:dunkellic]well, you´re supposed to stay close to your squad, so i dont see a problem with resupplying at a rifleman at all^^

Wow. This *is* getting really repetitive. Find some team players, get them on xfire, and you'll find people willing to go rifleman.
