my biggest complaint in this game is the lack of fast vehilces you can use to go somewhere else when someone steals the last copter or airplane. Usually you have to suicide unless you want to walk or wait for 5 minutes.

I like the look of PR quads. I can see myself stealing one of those and hiding in the hills till the bad guys go away :D .

In PR, aircraft in maps should happen like this:

There are no airfeilds UNLESS it is a map about taking over an airfeild, and only one team has an airfield. It is tottally unrealistic to have 2 fully operating military airbases 1 mile apart from each other. and don't tell me 'they moved in and built them and then started fighting' bullshit, if you know anything about war, you wouldnt let your enemy build base right next to yours...

There are 2 styles of realistic maps i can imagine for PR:

First map: Team one is navy based and has a few supporting ships (AEGIS cruisers or whatever) and has lots of aircraft that ar scrambling to repel and airborne assault force sent by Team 2. Team 2 spawns inside of lots of aircraft hanging in midair, really high, and on the opposite end of the map. This simulates the aircraft coming a long way from an air base, instead of having 2 opposing navies in close proximity to each other. Team 2 wins if all Team 1's navy is destroyed, Team one wins if all the attacking aircraft are destroyed (say each jet respawns 2 times, simulating 2 waves).
The alternate version of thies type of map has Team one based at an airbase, but the exactt same scenario, Team 2 wins if enough static buildings in the airfield are destroyed.

Second Map: Both Teams are air based like Team 2 in the first map, and they simply encounter each other, over land or water. Which ever team kills all the enemy first wins (again the wave idea for respawning)

Now, jets in Non-Total-Jet-Combat maps should work like this:

We will use mastuur as an example. Keep the map the same (or have a similar city assault, double assault, whatever), but one team gets 1 jet that spawns high in midair that you can spawn in, so that you can do laser guided missle strikes and whatnot. the team that doesnt have a jet, would have a tunguska, or lots of realistic AA emplace ments (ZSU-s or a SAM site would to nicely)

That another idea for an aircraft based map, team one has air spawning jets, team 2 has a SAM site that they have defend. team one wins if SAM site goes boom, team two wins if all Team one aircraft go boom.
