I like it when the team are like that, more targets to yourself.

Not as bad as vanilla games can get though. I was on a 2142 game (prior to me finding this amazing mod) and it turned out to be me vs 12 people. So I went in and took them head on dropping as many as I could by myself (they had an uncap I had to defend from front flags -- fall of berlin for those that have played) and so I rushed their main and started murdering them.

Finally enough switched over to make it a game, and I took first anyhow.


The worst part is when a server does not use the smart autobalance. I was on a server yesterday and ended up being squad leader so I was like OK fine. I got shot and brought down and it moved me to the other team. It sucked. Our squad was kicking ***.

yea and it sucks even more because you know that you will fight against them...
on the other hand, fighting against better opponents will make you better

Smart autobalance IS ON. I think I may have to kick people who switch from no w on.

Autobalance in BF2 is retarded. The autobalance that was used in BF1942 and DC made sense. It allowed for a variance of 3 people. That way if you load into a server and want to hop on the side your friends are on you can do so. Most BF2 servers have no variance. The only way to switch is when your team outnumbers the enemy. That and being teamswitched WHILE your in a squad in the middle of an assault sucks ***.

I will freely admit to team switching now. It's so easy to do it even on an autobalancing server. No, it's not hacking, exploiting or anything like that, it's just as a few comments before me have stated

I like playing on whatever the hell side the server puts me on when rounds end. I mean really. As long as a server autoswitches you each round there is no need to teamswitch.

Uh MrD, I think that quote translates as "When faced with a choice between USMC and insurgents, I tend to choose insurgents."

I like both teams, but in reality, Insurgent is 100x more fun with the grappling hook, PKM, stealing kits, suicide squads etc.

As for better weaponry, the insurgents have the G3, PKM, SA-7, a super accurate sniper rifle, C4's galore ... TBH, i dont get the attraction of USMC expect the A-10s and choppers ... but I give up on it now because its like that bloody 'mine' video. Makes me wanna sneak up and start base raping for not playing the game and waiting so they can crash the A-10 or fly Cobra without a gunner.

I once was a fan of the death zone ... no more! Let us base rape!! LOL

BTW, a no safe zone would actually be fair, since the sole purpose for the A-10 is to take off and bomb all insurgent assets at the start of the game (normally palace) so the ins can never have a tank - so why not amuse yourself with a nice IED going off when Mr A-10 jumps in his plane ... BOOM! You can hear the screams over text chat!

Serveradmins have to kick teamswitchers.

As for teamlocking, I hate that. If I join a server and there's some people I know on the other team, I'll sometimes switch so that I can play with them.

There's nothing wrong with that. You can't always be teaching n00bs. It gets frustrating, and I like to take a bread once in a while. It is supposed to be fun afterall.
