Desertfox wrote: I saw in the TG feedback thread about suicide cars more specifically

7) Suicide tactics are FORBIDDEN.
This includes suicide C4 Jeeps, ramming any vehicle and intentionally blowing yourself up to cause the death of another.

How can you enforce this rule when there are cars that are made for this :(
That rule doesn't apply to cars in the game that are made for that. The rule is there to prevent people from loading up cars with C4 and driving them into tanks, crowds of people, etc. The rule was created before PR was supported at TG, and applied to Vanilla and POE, but we re-visited the rule and using map-supplied suicide vehicles is fine.

Fox, I think fuzzhead is the only example you can really give of someone with that much of a draw as SL.

Also, I don't see the problem. Servers kick for clanmates all the time. Their way of doing it seems fair to me. Yeah, it's too bad it also kicks SLs. But otherwise you'd have people creating one man locked squads to escape the mighty kick.

00SoldierofFortune00 wrote:So does the script though when it kicks players. So what is the difference? If the squad is good, they will switch and join again....
The difference is that swapping side's abolishes all squads, while the SM script-kick only boots off one player out of the 62 people on the server at a time... and again, it's only when a new SM joins... so it's only 1 person from 1 of the 10-12 squads on the server. It totally sucks when it's you, or your ace SL, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

That being said, like you, I'm definitely all in favor of switching sides at the end of each round! Sure it breaks up squads, but there are pro's to this... I've started a thread over on TG to discuss this... please do chime in with your opinion: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/battlefiel ... post662310

... as far as the jihad-jeeps go - I think the rule doesn't apply to the Insurgent faction.. there was a discussionon this over there as well, but it wasn't really resolved.

To bad im banned from the server for saying "Do something about your server screwing up" people kept asking for restarts cause the map/server was completly screwed up and bugged at the time and none of the admins there (there were alot) did anything, a couple were in my squad and completly ignored anything going on, even the 300+ pings every player was getting. None of them responded at all in chat or VOIP so I said what I said and some uptight admin decided to ban me for it. wow, lighten up.
That is not why you were banned. You were banned for acting immaturely and for spamming curse words in general chat. Those two rules are clearly printed on the load-in screen.

It's not about being "an uptight admin" (and it wasn't me that issued the ban, but I would've done the same if I was there). Our goal at TG is to provide a respite from servers filled with smacktards spamming curse words in general chat, teamkillers, lone wolfs, etc. You broke rules and you were dealt with accordingly.

BTW - there are ways in which to resolve bans. However, falsely accusing "uptight admins" of banning you for no reason is not one of them.

Wow, ok to get back on track I personally will be holding some "Learn TG" squads over the weekend. If you wanna see how we try and run our squads feel free to hop in. Viop/mics are strongly encouraged but not required.

@ AC: The entire idea is to create a haven for those of us who like a very mature gaming experience once in a while. I think they do a great job of it. How does one go about being a supporting member? Is it a one time thing or monthly?

@ Johnny: I'll make sure to squad up with you if I see you.

Hope to see you soon supporting memberships are 9 dollars a month I belive or you can do it like me and shell out 80$ for a year.

Hijacked from the tg forum FAQ

To become a TG Supporting Member you need only click on the "Memberships" button off the main page of the site. A link has also been added below for you to use. After clicking on the link, you can choose to sign up for a automatic recurring membership that renews each month or a one-time yearly membership.

No, my squad usually fills up in a couple of seconds if I have been on for a while and have a good squad going. So much so that I have to kick people who were not in it before just to get the old ones back in. I am fine with kicking people for the returning members as long as we get some variation.

'[R-CON wrote:|TG|asch']Project Reality Rally Weekend

Tactical Gamer would like to celebrate and promote the recent launch of the Project Reality mod (for BF2) by hosting a Project Reality Rally Weekend from March 9th - 11th.
I would love to be in this but every time i try to join your server, it says "kicked by successful vote kick or for excessive teamkilling." I've only played on your server twice and i didn't tk at all.

I was kicked once automatically for being inactive for a few minutes (had to take out the trash), and now every time i try to rejoin i get that message. My in-game name is "WASSERFALLER" please let me know what the deal is with this.

Ok guys, I really don't understand why there are a few vocal members here who just go out of their way to criticize the way our server is run. For you guys, please, just don't visit the server. It's ok, we won't miss you. Really.

For the rest of you, those who value communication and teamwork, who are mature and appreciate a clean environment free from swearing and complaining, we welcome you to the server. We love to see teamplayers squadding up with us, and we do everything we can to enhance the PR experience each and every night. We're all learning a little more every time we play, and the best way to do so is to play with like-minded individuals such as yourself.

I just got promoted to 2nd Lt., and fully capable and responsible to run a Defense squad.

I need some good enlisted warriors and one hell of an N.C.O.

Guaranteed a positive kill death ratio, but a lousy point count.

Squad name: Defense

Description: Defend the front porch while the big dogs assault. Sweep the area once assaulting force leaves and set-up our A.O. at the newly defended CP. Bravo team will set-up ambushes, and shoot and scoot missions.

Squad make lay out:

SL=Alpha team leader= Officer kit

Assistant SL= N.C.O.= Bravo team leader= Anti-Infantry kit
Note: will need to be a vet of PR to help this junior officer defend where needed and move out when needed. Will need to be skilled in setting up claymore ambushes/ kill zones.

Alpha two= Rifleman
Note: will need to excel in this endeavor, and keep the squad fully armed.

Bravo two= Anti-Infantry kit
Note: will supplement claymores with Bravo leader in order to maximize kill zone of the ambush/kill zones.

Alpha three= Marksman
Note: needs to be a good shot and understands green/yellow/red fire conditions, as well as distinguishing between friend and foe.

Bravo three= X factor.
Note: will need proficiency in all seven of the standard kits. Particular, engineer and light Anti-tank.

__
Special note:

Will need a good support squad to back us up with Heavy A.T., A.A., , extra rifles, and medical support when seriously assaulted.
__

Cheers.

Please do. I have seen the way you and another person handled a friendly fire situation with mutual respect and courtesy. TG is created by and for players like you !

A few names who have problems with TG rules and style put their same immature, rude and insulting attitude on table in every TG related thread while thousands of mature gamers enjoy the time they spend on servers provided by TG and other like-minded communities without having a single problem with rules and regulations.

I keep telling Riki to get his priorities straight. He only needs 1.46 minutes with the gf and then he should be all relaxed and ready for some PR. ;)
