What does everyone else think of removing the other on screen objects:

the medic and repair icons when u call for a medic/engineer which show where the nearest medic/engineer is on screen
the armor levels on a vehicle when u are an engineer going to repair a vehicle
the soldier health levels when you are a medic going to heal/revive a player
the squad order icons (attack here! etc)

I think they all should be removed
medic and repair icons: yes, that makes sense
armor levels on vehicle when you are engineer: no those should stay. a real life engineer can see what the damage is. so they should be able to in prmm. besides, he needs to know who needs it most.
soldier health level when you are medic: same as above
squad order icons: then how the hell are you supposed to know where to go? 'attack this position' 'what position?' 'THIS position!' 'i don't know what ure talking about' :?

lmao thats funny
it would only be the attack/defend/etc icons on the screen that would be removed. u could still look at the map to see where to attack....

this all sounds ok - maybe it can be added to 0.2

Yeah, removing orders would be pointless. Also, medics and engineers and supportmen need to know when they are done doing their job to help ther soldiers.

i think the text that says if you kill some one or not to becuse it is unrealistic. if you think u kill soem one and they just go down you can make sure with that text in real life like in hte game if you look at him you can tell if he is dead of not

So how will a Medic or Engineer know which soldier or tank to heal? Leaving the icons on can represent the soldier hearing the command so he can do what he is trained to do.

As long as the attack orders are visible on the big map, Im fine.

I'm against any kind of AMMO counter for troops in a realism mod. Remembering when to reload and keeping track of your rounds is part of the tactical experience and separator of prey and predator.

For vehicles though, I would be in favor of something built into the cockpit ot a blow up of a a guage showing ammo for certain weapons...rockets, missles, bombs, chainguns.

Don't know if this will help but realised something when messing around. Alt toggles the 3d map flag icons.

Yeh but I think people want this removed so you have to use your map intsead of seeing a flag on screen. And you cant rely on people to turn it off as they wont :P

The maps opacity should be fixed to solid and with a realistic looking map imo also. When flying i have the m map set too very very low opacity and vehicles set to like 50% so i can fly around and know where i and spotted enemys are all the time.
Mabe make it look like a paper map with circled areas for bases an cp etc.

Nah I figured it would help the coder trace down how to take them off. I.E. figure out what it's toggleing, turn it to the off value and then make it so it can't be toggled again. I thought it would point him to where it was wrather than have to go searching for it. Just thought it might help.

I would rather the grey box be taken out, and just have text. I don't know, but it seems like much more of an eye sore than the one already in-game.

Of course, one could always just set his HUD transparency to 0.
