The SF should be able to convert Insurgents into "Indiginous Forces" that will aid them in combat. They'd be like the SF's little battle robots, except not as expensive and they'd praise Allah all the time.

Rifleman AP needs something more "anti personnel", claymore is great but sadly we can't tripwire them...

Why not replace the frag grenades with a tear gas grenade? would work the same as smoke, only enemies would run away crying :P

Because teargas sucks. It's the whore's weapon. We had it in 0.4.... it wasn't good.

AP isn't for everyone, but some people really enjoy it and put it to great use.

Don't give every class nades. All the problems you described (TII) seems easily fixable if you have a decent squad. If there's not a single decent squad on the server, change servers.

Normally I would agree with you Wasteland, but the server picks are pretty limited nowadays. Tacticalgamer is probably the best, but it is almost always full, Gloryhoundz doesn't ever seem to be up or have anyone in it, and my ping to iGi isn't so hot. In the perfect and ideal world all the problems that we encounter are diminished by a good squad, but unfortunately, that isn't always going to happen. And I can't imagine ever leaving the wire without a frag or two, same as I can't understand only having 4 mags.

AP Riflemen does have its place in a defensive role, but with the multiple avenues of approach around most flags it isn't very practical. Even if you set up claymores you still have to watch their location instead of leaving them as a block, so they aren't a true force multiplier as they would be if they were given back their auto explosion-pseudo trip wire abilities.

Well i can definately tell you that GP-30s for insurgent spec force isnt working out. Most outspammed kit on the insurgent team.
Supirior accuracy, ammo, visability(SOFLAM) compaired to anyclass. Then wack a UGL in and its chaos. Them running out of ammo for the GP isnt an issue, with the smaller respawn times there is more incentive to charge in with an AK-101 agter running out of UGLs.

...mongol...

Hmm, and if you change the effects, so instead of making your screen blurry, it makes you only cough, so if you throw one and the enemy doesnt move out and get shot in the back by you, he'll reveal his position by coughing like mad...would be good to bug out snipers and campers with it...

SF is already abused like a red headed step chilled with a drunk father

Yep as said before in .5 the Frags were purposely removed from Spec Ops in favor of smokes. It lowers the lone wolf attractiveness and improves teamwork.

Flashbangs would be wonderful for Spec Ops, esp. if they where limited kits.

I think SF should become somewhat of a commander asset giving intelligence and giving artillery orders to the commander. Maybe when the soldier looks through the SOFLAM you get some kind of UAV style spot thing, if you get what I'm saying. That way everybody can clearly see where the troops are. I think that would give it more the reconnaissance roll it should get.

I play every day and am able to find decent servers. Devfile's usually got good guys if you like Al Basrah. DVB's usually got good squads. And if you can't find a good existing squad, start one.

It does suck that Gloryhoundz nevers seems to be around anymore.

I play almost everyday, and I usually do find a good game... eventually. Devfile is a great server, but I'm sick of Basrah. Played DVB and 3-5 but they were only ever half full on 64 size maps.

I long for the .2 and .3 days of Ghz and iGi when you could play with the same people almost everynight. :hissyfit:
