cheaters really piss me off! i am glad to see you guys dealt with this guy swiftly and harshly.

what i worry about are the crafty cheaters (if they actually exist at all) who dont go overboard with their stats. i guess people are cheating cause they cant resist padding their stats, so these kind of cheaters are probably pretty rare.

i think i have played with him.. i do agree.. i was behind a house. just respawned when i was killed by him, he then t-bagged my body.. i had no proof in any way that he was, but i had just respawned in a car that came by from an house with walls all around it and he was no where in the compound wher my squad was hiding... he also took us out in a building when i was on the phone.... we were all prone... inside the house so nobody could see, and nobody moved an inch....

well, even if he is not cheating. if he ever goes in any hoc server again (and somehow gets past our ban) with or without cheats, he will be banned. its one strike and youre out at hoc.

im glad you guys are understanding the situation well. personally, i cant stand cheating, it takes the fun out of the game for everyone. it sucks because theres no reason to do it in hoc. if you suck at the game... well who cares? its how we function as a team thats important. thats really what makes this so insulting.

anyway, thanks for the kind words and support. we've only ever had to kick 1 person out of our clan for hacking (that would be trivit), so this was pretty tough. i feel bad for the guy to be honest. i guess it just shows you just how popular hacking is getting in bf2.

The only problem is he'll join you or someone else soon with a new account. Clean, fresh and openly flaming cheaters, supporting punkbusted while he's hacking like the twat he is. That's just the nature of our gaming situation.

The most frustrating thing is that many who walk in front with the "anti-cheat-banner" are sad cheaters themselves and judging from the number of members on ***security.***, there are many more cheaters than most think. Fortunately there are anti-cheat hacks that can expose the moronic lamers - and even though it's not entirely legal, they can still provide evidence.

But just spectate someone, record them and observe their twitch. Then compare their kills and the twitch. It's not that hard to spot a person who beyond any resonable doubt is cheating. The only problem is you all know the way even the lamest of cheaters will claim to be innocent and call people noobs etc. And since chances are he's not the only cheater on the server there will always be a brother to support him.

So the procedure is to just gather the evidence of screenshots and files and then report the ******* and punish him silently.

doc, i agree, and normally i wouldnt post about someone being banned, but since he was wearing the hoc tag, we were responsible for his actions. he was representing us when he was doing all this nonsense, so we felt that we had to speak up.

we know his voice, so he cant join hoc again. other people are vulnerable, but its important for clans to have a screening process. i assure you this guy wasnt hacking when he joined the clan. he only recently started hacking, and made a point to avoid us in game.

the thing that scares me is the fact that an aimbot is invisible -- undetectable by pb screens. we just have to be aware of this and try and stop it.

Cheaters are the worse than scum, cheaters are worse than the mold on scum and worse than the shit that bugs who eat the mold on the scum.

Filthy cheaters deserve no pity.

Hooking aimbots are not invisible to scans and the PB SS hack that sends a clean SS when you are using a color aimbot can be counter hacked.

There are plenty of posts on the net from poor cheating victims complaining that their cheat didn't work well or they got caught anyway.

PB is a good program, it actually prevents quite a deal of cheating and is discurages many others from trying... but someone else may be watching too

Hardware bans work well too and many cheaters are surprised when they discover how it works.

I'll just add that I respect your harsh action of throwing him out of your clan. Zero-tolerance is another way to make people think twice.

AFAIK, PB uses something similar to VAC2 which when it detects a cheat it waits a month or two so that if the cheater uses numerous cheats he does not know which one is detected. So he could have already been detected but still a ban could have been 2 months away, thats why I think that PB SS's are the best anti cheat

we dont pity him at all. we just see the event as unfortunate. he wont get any support or sorrow for us. we just regret that he made a stupid decision.

The reason I find cheating so pathetic is because "It's just a game". We do it for fun and it's not that serious... and yet those retarded cheaters still find they need to cheat.

I could understand if they cheated to win something. But they cheat for nothing... Like stealing air. Pathetic, pointless and yet ruining other peoples fun.

respect to all of you hoc guys and to the rest of the community. we found a cheater once in a clan i was leader of and decided to disclose that (we had to leave the GameStar league on rank 5 due to this) information to display our honesty. the effect was quite the contrary. and it's not an easy decision to disclose such a thing because there'll always be smacktards that are gonna accuse clanmembers of cheating when they get pwned . however, this here is a much more mature community .

i have a sneaking suspicion back in .4 that i was up against a cheater on strike at karkand 2...it was a little populated server, just one squad on either side, but every damn time my squad took a rout, we got ambushed by one person and looking at the scores it was quite easy to see who it was.

every time. we took really long weird and stupid routs like, all the way round the back, yet we were ambushed. no matter what we did.
seeing those screen shots of the radar hack thing makes me sure he was hacking.

the server emptied after i voiced my concern about the fellow over VOIP (and i didn't say omfg Haxx0012, i asked what other people though of him and we came to the conclusion that he was probably hacking). the others agreed.
what i think was our own version of justice at the time was because he hacked, he emptied the server and was left game-less. sure he would have moved onto another server but i think he chose a small server because of the relative ease to hack...
