I'd rather jump thanks
The only thing that annoys me about jumping is the fact that it takes away so much stamina yet you can still carry on jumping when your are fatigued

I wouldnt mind seeing mantling in game rather than having the jump heights we have now, but implementing mantling would require a good animator and would probably take a considerable effort to get in.

Bit hard to explain but if you fall, say, 30cm your guy goes 'OUCH' and you get big red flashes of pain, and you probably haven't lost more than 2% of your health.
I think that in real life, that amount of hurt would be negligable, and it should be made that if it doesn't take at least 1/2 or 1/3 of your health off, it doesn't hurt at all.
yeah, when your falling, there isnt alot of room between injuries. youll get a scratch or break something, or die, and the difference between them all is pretty big. I agree that you should either get no damage, or a decent ammount (50%), enough to make you bleeding badly and need meds ASP (75-80%) then just dead

Yeah, that's what I was getting at.
It just seems ridiculous that running down a flight of stairs or dropping a seemingly short distance gives you the grunts. These are meant to be trained soldiers.

Why don't you try running down a flight of stairs with 35 pounds of equipment, and a rifle in your hands?
I bet you'd break a leg, or an arm.

Don't know if this been said already but if you lower the jump height, many routes won't be accessible in maps since the jump height as it is now is set exactly high enough to go through statics like the barrier blocks or such.
A possible fix for falling "damage" would be the soldier instantly crouching after he falls from more than 2 meters high.
I think there's no need for health loss in this case, since the impact was kinda soft.

Meh! Try doubling that.
And yes; I've done it and I ran when I got to the foot of the stairs too.
Anyone still serving agree that this can't be done?
Bollocks!
