anyway, i think it might be because you dont see the "i need a medic" message on the screen. you can hear it when youre around someone, but if thats in wacky iraqi (credits to foo for the phrase), you cant understand it.

Realy? How interesting... whats the parameters on that order? I take it you mean a soldier is ordered not to give it to a healthy soldier? I cant imagine an order like that holding up in a situation where a soldier has to treat a wounded comrade.

Then on the other hand we can think, if another one needs it more. Does the soldier do it by the book or by the heart like many things in the military with its requlations and rules.
IN REAL LIFE

Then when they throw down their field dressing to heal themselves, you steal it.

never leave a fallen comrade...
never leave a fellow soldier when he needs help
ill always drop my pack.
i feel a little more like im in the army when i do because in RL you would do it without hesitation.

you dont give yours away, but you use theirs. if they dont have theirs for some reason, im sure youd use your own, but i think its much less likely in real life to find a soldier without a field dressing, considering that theyre probably going be taken out of combat once theyre injured enough to need a dressing, its not like theyre going to dress the wound then magically gain 10hp and move back to combat

Sometimes, people dont give their kit simply because they aren't medic and they can't see your red lifebar. They usually assume 'I need a medic' is coming from somewhere else.

Why is this thread 4 pages long about giving your field dressings to people or not?? lmao, funny stuff.
On topic though. I never really had a person who wasn't in my squad ask me for one or look like they need one in front of my face, but I have been asked in squads many times to put mine down, and always do if I don't need it.
