what gets me is that even if some people see you placing a mine, they will drive over it willy nilly.

It's not like "Oh hey bob I was going to tell you last night, but fell asleep there is a mine field to the south entrance of our base." IRL you know about a minefield before it's even placed.

TBH its the best simulation of reality your going to get on BF2, unless big red shaded areas could be added to the mini-map in areas mines have been laid, which:

1. Is almost certainly impossible
2. Would look awful and make the map difficult to read.
