Yes, some kind of pre-strike! The artillery could load the correct type of shell and fuze, calculate the coordinates and so on. Then the pre-strike spot can be corrected a small distance (with little delay) or a greater distance (larger delay/recalculations), then fired at or cancelled. After cancellation of the pre-strike it should take some time to change shells/fuze/coordinates for the next pre-strike.

Large radio/sat-link, some high-tech binoculars, FM-computer/sat-linked + H&K UMP 45... :grin:

The FM-computer could be an item that brings up the FM-box when used.

Nice idea, but I would much rather have human controlled arty. In fact thats the direction we're moving in, but I would like to see a desert conflict type system plus some sort of interface like yours.

Great suggestion. Would love to see something like this in game. It offers alot in terms of what you can request (Ammunition type, fuze, how many rounds). Imho this system would be even better than player controlled artillery.
