It's not the diving that's a problem, it's not even the shooting shortly afterwards. It shooting accurately immediately after diving that's unrealistic and destroys gameplay. Ideally your weapon would be disabled for like half a second when you hit prone, but I have no idea how to do that.

There has to be a solution to this, even something weird that doesn't make sense but still prevents the accuracy after diving would be fine, as long as its something.

Could you (@ DEVS) not add the "Not Able To Shoot Effect" to prone, as they did for jumping?

Or is it, Arcodé?

I feel inclined to say that they wont be able to, seeing as they have tried from day 1 (I think). I'm guessing its one of the most hard-coded things in BF.

I still thinking forcing a weapon switch would resolve it.. can't be that hard to map weapon change to prone.

i guess it is, i try'd dual mapping a key but the game didnt like it..
