Don't complain about the sounds, as they depend on tte user and soundcard.
Nah, I'm just kidding with you Vikingo
QFT!
The M16, has a distinct ending (Ingame). I can hear someone hitting a metal pip with another, but it might just be my headphone speakers vibrating.
The SA80 sounds great, but can feel it sounding like 16bits.
The QBZ's sound weak, and takes 4-5 shots to put someone down, but if that's the way it is, then that's the way it is.

I can hear it too, which is why I've changed it

Will sound more powerful in 0.6

Have you guys changed sounds for the RPG-7, AT4, and other anti tank weapons? Right now, the RPG-7 sounds quiet when fired in first person, well, at least I'm pretty sure it is... Yes, I am running on high volume option...

maybe the first person sounds should be beefy and low, but the third person sounds should be higher and more like a 'pop'
when a gun is fired in your general direction it sounds like a pop but when it fired away from you it sounds lower and more like video game sounds. I Think this is impossible to model with the ingame sound engine though.

I've been boosting high-end on third person sounds indeed. As for sound direction, I know there is some sort of feature but I'll have to ask sofad. He's far more adept at the coding aspect than I am.

I posted the QBZ-95 video with sound awhile back. For anyone who are curious and want to hear the real deal, try searching QBZ95 / PF89 in the forum, I hope the sound effect person would use it, because right now, besides the model, nothing is acurrate about the QBZ95 or other guns in that family.
BTW, QBZ95 should be as powerful as the M16/L85s but has slightly less recoil and range.

Silenced weapons thus have low grain rounds so they achieve sub-sonic status.
Depends. You can use a suppressor with regular ammunition--the effect is that the pop of the muzzle blast is muffled, but there's still the crack of the bullet. With subsonic ammunition, both are muffled. Only problem is, if the weapon you're using with subsonic ammunition is gas operated, say goodbye to semi-automatic or full-automatic. The subsonic rounds don't make enough pressure to automatically cycle the bolt.
Type 97 firing
Is the Type 97 the same thing as a QBZ97/95? I'm kinda confused with Chinese weapons; they all look the same.

The MP5SD uses regular supersonic ammo but in a intergrated Suppressor to slow it.
I know Jamyz will do a good job, (im 80% sure)

Yeah, I thought the RPG in real life is really loud and is like a deep bang. Should make the hand guns sound more real too.

Basically, yes. Its the QBZ-95 modified to fire the 5.56x45mm NATO round from a STANAG (M16 type) magazine, rather than the 5.8x42mm Chinese round. Intended for export only, IIRC.
