If you want to leave the ability to lonewolf up to the individual then you're right, you don't want the squadless kick script.
If the server decides they want players to at least be in the chain of command, then this script helps. Using this script also does allow a
very select few squads to be lonewolves, but keeps them in the chain of command. There can be cases where the CO wants to single unit to operate alone... but keeps them in communication with the CO.

What I'd really like to see is kicking for not following orders (especially CO-SL orders). That would cut down hugely on the airport camping, and would make USMC get off their asses. If we had that (or even tried it for a given "teamwork" night), then this script would be necassary. If not, I guess it's a little useless.

It doesn't happen because TG is a good server played by smart people who want to play nice

No for me , i love the mod and understand that realism is what you want to achieve, but for myself its still a game and i prefer to be given the option to play it how i want,
some may reconize my name from the Devfile server i play nearly everynight and always as surg, most of the time i finish in the top 10 (not a boast an observation) and still consider myself a newbie, i often use the aa but the aa squad is normally in the wrong place so i go elsewhere, defending village i prefer to circle around the us and destroy rp's and apc's not wait to get slaughtered, sometimes i snipe and sometimes ied.
If it was implemented what would be the consequences of naming a squad lone wolfs.

one question, with devfile only playing a single map, dose it ever incounter teh squad bug? if so you are gonna need an around the clock admin to make sure that every one on one team dosn't get kick save for 6 poeple.

its a good idea, but i could see it cause problems in the future, like the locked squads thing and a admin not being on etc.
i say we try it for a week and see how it turns out

That would deplete 80% of noobs, and would force everyone to work as teams and not just lone wolf

I like the idea for the 90 sec in a squad or be kicked. Think it will help more then it will hurt. Now I know I'm gonna get flamed for this. But one of the things that would help keep the people from waiting at the airport and such. Would be to remove the dome-of-death around the airport. This way the insurgence can get a sniper in there. Now before you start whining. As an insurgent, if I can get all the way to the airport without being seen across all that open terrain. Then you deserve having your brains blown all over the flight line. The way it is now you'll get 10 guys waiting for helos, planes and such. All without a care in the world because they are untouchable.

That's a good point. It would also give the insurgents more things to do, and would make those bunkers at the airport more useful.

Didn't you ever play Al Basrah in 0.4? And it's not hard to get to Airport unseen. It's downright easy. Especially if you take a jihad or spawn car (no boxes for A-10s to see).
No WAY should what you're describing be implimented. It's fine as is, since you can still jihad the airport. Although it would be even cooler with mortars

Is this an allowed tactic on there? I ask because I seem to get different answers from different people. You are an admin so your say goes further. But is it OK if I bring my jihad car of death in there?
Also is it OK to bring a spawn car in there since people do that often too?
I just do not want to get kicked out of the server or anything so I have not done either, but would love to blow up the tons of smacktards waiting in the airport to fight over the A-10.

Personally I get pretty pissed off when insurgents bring spawn cars in there. Jihad cars, I don't agree with, but it's fucking gay when people bring spawn cars in there.
Anyways, I'm for forcing people to join squads. You can still lonewolf all you want if you join a squad

Bringing jihad cars is 100% acceptable AFAIK. No ruling yet on spawn cars. Personally I don't agree with it. Although it does give the campers something new to camp (the spawn car).

Its been so frustrating that I cant stand playing USA there anymore. I make a "teamwork" (or whatever) squad and *we* do great, but the rest of the team is jerking off in the airport so we still lose. Sorry to say but I'm starting to avoid devfile like the plague. Sooooo if you guys think it will force more teamwork then add the script. Good luck!
me too fishwork. i find DVB is a pretty good server, with 2/3 fewer nooblets.
Come play on that one and I'll join your teamwork squad and we'll crack some skulls.!

I think im going to implement a rule to get them out of the airbase, im still thinking about it though.

I think if people really don't want to join squads, leave them be...they are just taking possitions from some one who would do a better job to help the squad out.
Sure if they are completely worthless the SL can kick but still, I just see them as "in the way"
Realistically you just end up with squads led by people who don't wanna lead them filled with people who don't want to be in them, and what good does that do?

Squad bug. Devfile is plagued by it.
Bad idea considering.
