WIpeout, I have to disagree.
Idiots, yes, but I have no problem with people new to the game. We all started somewhere, and how are people going to learn if we who have more experience don't lead by example.
As a matter of fact, when I play tomorrow night I'm going to start a squad called "NewPlayers", and invite anyone new to the mod to join. I'll probably be on Thors-Brigade or iGi. If you see me and are new to this mod, feel free to join the squad and I'll talk you through and answer any questions you might have.

Idiots and newbies, are two different things.
Clarification, N00b is someone who knows how to do something, refuses to do it and ruins the gaming experience because of it. Newb / Newbie is someone who does not know how to do something or how a game is played and there here to learn.
Idiots / N00bs need to be kicked from a fluent squad because of that, they aren't there to play to make the gaming experience more fun for everyone there their to irritate you and have fun doing it.
Newbs, they need to be supported they need to be influenced, if you get a bunch of new players that jump in, from just looking at these forums they see they need to work together and utilize teamwork. Hence they will stick to the squad leader like syrup to a table.
Perhaps I mis-spoke in my last post. And for the most part I agree with you.

Ah yes, the whole n00b/newb thing. I understand now!
Gosh, it's so difficult for an old-timer like me to keep up with the lingo so I can be down with the kids, daddy-o.
Gladys? Gladys? Gladys! Where's my walking stick?
Anyway, I'll be on tonight, if there are any new players around and you see a "new players" squad, feel free to join.
I will be on 0.5 though, not 0.6

ok so there are a lot of new players coming into the PR community and a lot of Pro PR players are flaming them.
"Pro PR players".......really,.....how much $ does a "pro" PR player make a year to play PR???
Let me re-phrase your sentence to help you out and make it more accurate.....
"ok so there are allot of new players wanting to give PR a try and see if it plays as good as it sounds and looks and also if the PR community is solid, good natured and understands this is a game and intended for entertainment and fun, while still being edgy, intense, and a great team play expiriance.
Unfourtunatley a bunch of ego busting jack-a**'s are spending more time whining like a bunch of babies that want to take there ball and go home while discouraging new players from learning how to play instead of settling things out on the battlefield and just let there expiriance, skill and there ability to guide players out weigh any negatives the "new" players bring. Thus shrinking the community and intrest in the mod so it will have very few servers to choose from as time goes on. "
There,....thats more acurate......no need to thank me...

A lot of people consider themselves "PRO/UBER" players even though they have just downloaded the mod for the first time.
Hell, I only registered to the forums last November, but I've been plying it since 0.3 or before (can't remember), but I still remember that felling of "WTF" when I first played this mod....but some people *clenches fist*....some people are on the border line of f*cking clinical idiocy.

hey i was wondering, being rather new to PR, is there anywhere that shows some common tactics for the different maps? mainly i'd like to be able to see where commonly defend areas are etc. thanks.

One could argue that the messages from HQ is to remind you of the goals and not the tactics of how to proceed? And currently, to my knowledge, there is no "map layout" or FAQ to usual routes on different maps. Not openly in a forum anyway.
