for the record. I did the new A10 cannon that fuzz absolutely adores, ALL weapons distance tweaks, all main rifle sounds, all engine distance tweaks....and a bunch of other stuff. And no problem rhino, you can see everything I've done on the tester forums under Jaymz' sound updates. When 0.6 comes out I'll make a thread here and ask everyone what they like and don't like about the new sounds.

Don't get me wrong though, Sofad did ALL the radio work and the shell casings etc etc. Hence, why I put "assistant" in my sig =P

Woot! Hopefully rifles will sound like rifles, and not like static in my headphones, now. I love the sound on the M14, and if all of them are of that quality, I'll be shooting my AK just to hear it

The decision to get rid of the AK in favour of a UGL fitted QBZ is also spot on, since they don't actually use AK's. Their primary weapon has been the Type 81 (See Wikipedia.org, world.guns.ru). Although this point is moot now, if the AK was not to be replaced with the QBZ-bullpup, and you were still going for a rifle with a more conventional design, it should probably have been replaced by the Type 03/QBZ-03 assault rifle (http://world.guns.ru/assault/as80-e.htm). But nevermind.

Very nice find, that video is mic'd a lot better than the video I referenced when making the new QBZ95 sound. That said, I think everyone will like the new one.

WTF does the UGL have a rifle attachment?

The thought of new sounds for the CHinese Bulpup assult rifle, and fingers crossed the LMG and Carbine is extremely exciting, why, well becuase that is one of the most common sounds you hear when playing on the chinese side or any side against them, and generaly i like the most common sound to good and well you know, they would not be re-doing it, if it was not....therefore we should all look forwed to a much more powerfull.......sounding weapon, that strikes fear into the virtual/chubby/overstretches/packout/on its last leg/fatcloged/crackinjested heart of all those who hear its boom eco across the jungles of some goodforsaken land!

We've seen these before, KingLorre, but glad you're thinking of it.

The HJ series is not man-portable; the PLA does not have a man-portable, shoulder-launched ATGM. If anything is going to replace the Eryx, it would be the PF-98 120mm multipurpose rocket launcher, which is of course, unguided and very little fire control.
