It's all a good thought though. Even if a full 128 player server would lag, it still be nice to have some servers capped off at like 80 players or something.

Hey this is Cheesy from Rubberduckygaming.com.

I'd like to thank you all for trying your best. Its very frustrating trying to find that last bit of code but atleast this did help serve a bit of purpose.

We are running a PR server for the first time due to the total lack of really good servers out there. You hit 40-50 people and you start lagging.

We custom build our servers and to say they are top quality is a good one. The box we are running PR on now is also running a BFV COOP server. I'd like to ask how the lag was and the feel of the server? Anything at all?

Once again I'm sorry for the failure of the 128 players but we will keep trying. And please feel free to keep using our server. We might switch to extraction and test it a bit. Most of us haven't played alot of PR.

I have dual core so it NEVER lags on me...

those who say dual core sucks for gaming: you're wrong :D .


edit: no lag on my machine.

we got 64 in there and then that was it - no more could join and then the round on Muttrah ended. keep trying to break the limit guys - with the 17km squared maps this is vital

Hmm, I remember there was a hack for this, and it worked, but I searched and got nothing... hmmm, hopefully you can figure it out.

None at all. In fact it ran better than most other servers for me.

Well we can currently remove it from the BF2 demo you can download. We are basing our work on that. BF2 actually has alot of 128 files already inside it as most if not all of you had. I am assuming it was removed from the release of BF2 due to restrictions of server providers. (You can't expect them to update there hardware.) I am hoping its just something small and we are going to keep trying. As it is feel free to keep the duck server up for your PR needs. We are setting up the admin rights and everything so you can expect a well run server with just one basic simple rule.

Don't handicap your team. Anything that does is possible to be banned. Mostly just TKing but otherwise its your hearts desire!

Ah... I feel like I am advertising but I just want you all to enjoy it and keep it full as much as possible.

Server ran excellent. I usually can't play 64 players as my system cant handle it, but my computer did great on your computer smooth all the way.

I hope we can get 128 players sometime for the big maps. Our new server only runs at 25% capacity for a full 64 player.
