Pff, not useful in vBF2, since all snipers were used as CQB, so..maybe on some maps like Op Clean Sweep or Wake, but you got all the heli and jet whores, plus, the next round of artillery goes on your head, if you find a good spot...FightOrFlee wrote:http://media.putfile.com/sniperbf2
If the bullet drop in PR is the same as vBF2, then above is a short movie i made a loooong time ago demonstrating bullet drop at extreme range 350m+, if i remember, anything over 280m aim half the targets height above his head for a headshot, or something like that.

I know you are, 300m is not an extreme engagement range, you will understand what I mean in 0.6 when troops actually render at distance. Now, even though PR doesn't have realistic bullet path, the drop is actually very close so is that 5.56 rifles appear to be zeroed at 300m. keeping in mind that 300 BF2 meters is actually almost 400m....apparently DICE can't measure distance very well.FightOrFlee wrote:I'm talking about the game.....
But seriously, people who die the most in PR are those who don't engage from distance. This will be ever so more evident in 0.6 when the engagement ranges will be much greater.

The reason why PR bullet drop seems extreme is because since the guns are "zero'd to zero", the round is shot perfectly flat trajectory in line with the iron sights. Since you cannot zero the sights to a certain distance in BF2, you have to manually compensate for ranges that would normally be zero'd on the true-to-life ironsights.
