Well, I can't find any information on the common model sniper rifles used by the PLA, so going with an SV seems logical.

MEC should have a Steyr sniper rifle as already mentioned, it's logical as that's the current one used in Iran, which one would assume is the base army that MEC is built on.

And why on Earth would anyone want the L96 when the L115A1 is superior to it in every way except magazine size.

Thats because they dont. From what I've seen the PLA doesnt actually have a bolt action sniper system and issues its "snipers" (if it actually has any, it might just have Designated Marksmen) with the QBU-88 precision rifle.

Well, they are a bit, and it would fit with the theme of the MEC using Europein weapons.

Becuase they think AWMs (often incorrectly cited as the AWP by our CS playing cousins) are for n00bs?

If the MEC uses G3's so much wouldn't it be only logical that they use the G3SG/1 as a dmr rifle? It would really make for an interesting addition imo since it is capable of firing in full automatic.

how would they get their fingers on a galil, i pretty much doubt that israel is selling weapons to the other middle eastern countries. and they can't pick up large enough countities from dead soldiers or bunkers to have it as their main sniper rifle, so basically it's un realistic.

Anyway, G3SG/1 for MEC marksman all the way. 7.62x51mm + high accuracy + powerful scope + large (for a DMR) capacity magazine + option for full auto = best PR DMR EVAR!

I think the clues in the incredibly politically incorrect flag...

we were talking about SNIPERS and not about DMRs, the MEC will get a G3SG/1 but as dmr and not as a sniperrifle

I thought the chosen sniper rifles were fine, the dmr rifles however are the ones that need work.
