Bob_Marley wrote:Yeah they do, but you need to land like 25-30 rounds of it on the tank if you want to kill it, which means unless that tank's got no ammo for its primary armament, you're toast.
ok cause i was just wondering if they actually did anything to a tank. I know you use sabot rounds on armor, and heat rounds on infantry/cars, but i just wondered if the APC sabot rounds actually were much of a threat to a tank.

Not weapons, weapon stabilizer... Different from a weapon. The 120mm is not the most powerful weapon on a tank in the world. The Oplot I believe has a larger cannon size, as does the T90 and some other tanks, but what it boils down to is training, and quality, but the Russians would rather have quantity over quality, the sight systems on the T90s and lower suck ***.... Also Im not an brain washed American, this is a forum about a mod, please dont bring up stupid *** stereotypes about Americans in here, or the American government or whatever you ***... US PROPAGANDA BRAINWASHING MACHINE... That is funny... Maybe we should put that in the MOD as well?

Gunning isn't too hard for me--I managed to take out about four tanks last night--first time on PR mulitplayer.
Thats what i Thought when I played USI, I always lost against tanks with the so called AT round :\
SABOT, UP!

But... Why dont you use the MG stabilizer on the gunner turret? Im no MODer but that makes sence.

just tested on a server firing apc sabot rounds at a tank's side. Takes way to many cooldowns, and i think i even had to use 1 whole magazine of rounds.
However, only took about 15-20 sabot rounds i think to down another APC, while it took 40+ heat rounds to do the same. Also no cooldown with APC Sabots vs. APC with about 15-20 rounds.
Tank Sabot rounds destory a APC in one shot, or will start it burning where it will then explode. Tank HEAT rounds take atleast 2 shots to destory an APC. 1 shot get's it grey smoking, another destorys it.
conclusion Sabots against armor (duh) and heat's again car's/infantry/apc (if wanna save sabot rounds)
just some information for use.

M1A2 is a weapon ; gun stabilizer is it's part .

I wish they were stereotypes ...but every 2nd American which is posting on the forums I read blindly believe that everything which have an inscription on it's back 'made in US' is the best in the world . I'm just sick of it ... If you aren't that kind of person - I apologize .

I thought, "made in China" was the best cause it was cheap!?! I'm confused.
I don't think the 50.cal on the tank is completely stabilized.

I'll point this out again:
The MG on top of the Land Rover IS stabilized on both axis... dunno how but it is.

The AA Vehicles gun/cannon is stabilised..... it shouldn't be that hard to transfer that function to the tanks should it?

Never, ever say "shouldn't be that hard". Doing so immeditatly makes it impossible!

so were tanks before aswell, except for the .50 gunner.....
And yeah sorry for cursing this with the "shouldn't be that hard" thingy... Im taking it back and instead Im stating the complete opposite.... "It will be very hard/impossible"

Stop trolling. A forum that represents less than one one thousandth of one percent of the American demographic is not really the place you should be making stereotypes. Perhaps I should base some stereotypes about Ukrainians based on what Ukrainians have posted here...
I would love to see gun stabilization, but for the moment I don't think it's that important. We're not going to be shooting at tanks kilometers away, so even with gun stabilization chances are that it's still going to be whoever shoots first wins.

well no **** tanks were one man crewed. However, the "gun stabilization" you see, is the player anticipating his own movement and adjusting. it's pretty much a semi-consciouss thing. You know you're going over a hill, so you're going to pull the mouse down, and know how much, but for a 2man crew, the gunner is going to know they are going to go over the hill, but will not know the effect after landing.

I actually tested this last night.... not just posting and stating stuff randomly, took my hand off the mouse and started to move across the sanddunes with the MEC AA Vehicle..... I suggest you do the same thing before posting again....
