It's an AK-47 Spear Gun, right? All I know is that it is designed to fire Underwater.
Water can make a gun a danger to fire or it can just reduce it's effectiveness. If you submerge a weapon, make sure it is totally filled with water, it will operate, the bullet will fire with a much lower velocity and effective range is reduced by 99.7%, but it will fire. As long as it isn't a shotgun, it should work.
But if a weapon is wet and not in water, it make cause some serious problems with water not being constant thought the parts.
I think, for most pistols that operate on double action it works, but a Gas Operated rifle, I'm not very sure.
But, Scuba Doesn't seem like a good idea. Sure, it's a nice idea, but for Project Reality, I really don't see the need. Unless they actually want to have a map that is water based (IE: Sneak attack on the Carrier), then sure, it would be nice, but for the current maps, not so much.

LOL nice one lads.. best laugh i've had in a day or two LOL
I would hate to see specificly the spec ops have this ability because they are already that "1337 solo uber sniper-scope, laser 1 man assault unique unit" which makes them an already overplayed kit in .5 and keeps alot of riff-raff comming back to PR.
Is the SF kit really over-played? Practically no one seems to call it their favorite:
In 0.4, you could drive the engineer vehicles underwater cause it repaired itself about the same speed that the water damaged it, if you made a vehicle that repaired faster that would work right? And secondaly, any of you that have used that glicth, underwater looks really bad.
