Hell, China isn't any closer for me than the tons of UK servers, and I'm on the US Pacific coast.

this will definitely help, as of right now IMO the PLA is the Dullest faction in the mod, pretty much all vBF2 stuff. hopefully we can make it a really interesting side with it's own unique tactics.

Well, they did get a cool main infantry gun right? Though I wouldn't mind some extra stuff for them personally

I think that in general the PLA have been represented fairly in the game though and wouldn't think their government would have anything to complain about. Maybe now they'll be checking player stats to see just how many times the PLA forces won their rounds and how realistic that is, to them

We have already won 2 of 3 battles

btw I always switch to PLA, I don't like the new M-16 with "scope" aka uberzoom... It just doesn't feel right.

Well it is lacking a real scope.

I blame the PLA winning so much on how they always seem to get the better side of the map.

But yeah, believe it or not PR is actually pretty recognized in the Chinese gaming community, sadly you don’t see their servers often because most of them lag like hell in US/EU and just about all servers are “unofficial” ranked/underground/pirated…

BTW, there are actually Chinese PR forums out there, most of them under SINA.com and I’ve read some of them, here are some popular suggestions/complaints from those forums

• New Heavy Jeep
• New qbz95 sound/animation/ etc.
• ZTZ99
• Chinese Black Hawk
• Qbz03

i live in new jersey and happen to be chinese (not ABC, born on mainland) the only good populated pub servers i get that arent too laggy are TG, pros, and texasteamplayers

maybe i should move back just to play PR lol

Really? Nothing about the PLA voices?

I remember, during the not-so-good ol' days on the BF2 forums a lot of people complaining that the PLA voices were "all full of accent and grammatical errors" and things along those lines. Some people even said nothing the PLA said made any sense.

Or did those people just make that up because they like to complain?

We're getting close to finishing off the Type 95 weapons, just the UGL left atm. I don't expect that you'll see the Type 03 in PR anytime soon.

I'd like to see the Z9 as the primary helicopter for the PLA and would love to eventually see the Type 99 tank in place of the current EA modelled Type 98.

Great to hear there's some folks in China playing the mod. I really like enhancing the PLA because it's such a unique faction.

Hi, I am from Shanghai. I am playing PRmod 0.5 on the server mentioned by the threadstarter. First of all, thanks for the Reality Mod Team for this pretty realistic mod, i love this mod, although i began to paly PR mod just from yesterday.

As a member of HERO clan, i know more and more of our players play this mod because of its realistic gameplay system like the RallyPoints and Kit Limiting. However, we are still far behind the popularity, most of us do not exactly understand the meaning of "Advance and Secure". Some of us have huge passion on PR mod, they constantly provided their opinions on HERO clan website where i found this mod two days before. Now they are promoting PR mod among the HERO clan members. Considering the complicated feature of this mod, they have translated some gameplay information for us and even try to translate the suggestion information in game but failed as the result of the unmodified parameter. I hope that the Reality Mod Team could add Chinese edition in game in the future to help us playing this mod smoothly so as to we can provide our valuable recommendation based on the findings after PR mod is populated in Mainland China.

Yeah translation of critical pieces of the player guide is a really good idea (as a start)
