The devs do not have to read the suggestions the moment they are posted, do they?

I'd like this "cease fire" thing... I've noticed a huge influx of already suggested suggestions, stupid suggestions, and general discussion:

Sidearms (MP5) for pilots, crewman, and anti tank soldiers
WWII planes (?!)
Praising/complaining of scopes on rifles
Bullet penetration
Dropped magazines (lol)
Iraqi jets
Insurgent helicopters
Mortars
Terrorist kit
Finding the M95 and M82/Dual Uzis

The list goes on... I guess this could help the devs because they can have time to read our suggestions and state our suggestions have already been suggested, reasons why it can't be done, or lock any suggestions that won't work out.

I notice a trend of some suggestions, posted probally after the person watches Black Hawk Down for the first time, then without searching, says ZOMGQWERTYH4X WE NEED FASTROPING, DELTA FORCE, MP5, SOMALIS, RANGERS, ALALALALLALALA AJAKAJAKAJAKAJAKAJAK!!!!

BHD is a 6 year old movie. I'd be laughing my *** off, if someone suggests something from 80's Vietnam movies

I saw it in Black Hawk Down Movie!!!! It must be real, because they would make a movie if it wasnt real! In predator they have a minigun, can we have please. They wouldn't have a minigun if it wassnt real!

To be fair, Black Hawk Down was pretty accurate.

irl the littlebird pilot had an MP5, iirc. a couple SOAR, Delta, and Rangers said in interviews. forgot where i read them. and Durant says he had an M16 and Gordon's CAR-15 when he was captured. Personal preference? i dunno.

I dont think its necessary.

But what I DO think the PR team needs to do a better job of is closing off suggestions threads that we've either:
1. already covered
2. been suggested a billion times before
3. have no intent in pursuing

We kinda let this area be a bit of a free for all and I dont really have a problem with it... but what a lot of the "chaff" that falls into the above categories does is make it difficult to pick out the good stuff.

That was my point somewhat, you guys have such a large amount of suggestions on a daily basis, most of which fall into your list. Even if they are complete **** and everyone who has been here for a month or more knows it, they still require some moderation.

I would suggest making El_Vikingo a forum moderator. He seems to be on here alot, has an un-healthy knowledge of already suggested ideas, knows where the search button is and has incredible inter-personal skills. Ok the last one was false he has the tact of a sledge hammer sometimes Perhaps a few more moderators for the forums be they specific to a forum or all forums it might save some headaches.

Oh and come on people "chaff" as in the undesirable parts of the wheat/grain He was obviously eluding to the future inclusion of combines and farming equipment. Hello war tractor ala FH

No that is part of the topic now. Eggman brought in his weird desire for farm related equipment and PR to the topic, it's fair game now. Im looking at changing the topic to a "24 Hour suggestion cease fire except for all suggestions relating to chaff, tractors, overalls and poultry.

I think it is quite clear that Eggman is hinting at the new artillery to be made available to insurgent forces.
