Oh man, that was some fun on there Wazza and North(I was his guardian angel, I revived you what? 3 times just during that one assault?). I was the squad's Medic for that round, and boy was that a good time. Just wish I could of helped with the Shoveling, maybe the medic should get a Shovel too... :>
I got a couple good screen shots, I'll edit with links/imgs once I get them hosted.
Too bad we never got to use that lovely beach set up.

A nice look at our main base from the side, this was before we got the Firebase up.

Another look at the main base, this time from the dock on West.

This is the Firebase, I didn't get a good shot, but you can see the Sandbags and AA gun. We put up some Razor wire off to the right.

Aftermath after we evened the teams (7 vs 2 to 4 vs 5). I was the only one not driving an APC. The was one guy on the AA Turret when we struck.

Yo zander!!!!!
Glad you got the screenies of that when we was on MEC. We were dug in so deep no matter what the USMC tried it failed. They tried comin in on Blackhawks and got shot down. They tried coming in on APC's but they turned and fled when Sgt North opened up on them. They then tried raiding us on foot from the moutain to the East but with the two AA guns we had plus the bunkers, we returned fire (a hell of a lot of fire) and they gave up. Was a bit lame of them all to leave the server when they couldnt break us but hey...what can you do?
On another note, when you, me and North switched to the USMC to balance the teams and loaded up on APC's, it made me a little bit sad when the 3 of us landed at the beach and blew bunkers, firebases, AA canons and command posts to bits.
It was like....Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're destroying all our own hard work!!!!!!

To be honest wazza, you don't need to add the drunkard bit to your description, the Irish bit is enough for most people to infer the Inebriation

Exploit. What are you doing with C4, zomg h4x0r.
Yeah, I have seen some abuse. I got a few screen shots of Sandbag covers' massive base platform blocking the entrances to Government office in that River map (Qwai River? I forget.) I'll get them hosted and post them.

Yeah that was the west side of the map, i was never over there, i was US the whole round and my squad and comander were incharge of the defense in east basically with some help from other squads, most were attack west, i was defending east, i want to hear what some of the MEC have to say when they tried to take east.

I still don't understand how this works. Does the commander place an icon and then the troops see that icon, move to it, and begin using shovels?

From my pretty newish knowledge of being commander...
Firstly you request a supply truck then drive to the location that you want to set some sh*t up in. You can only place the stuff at a captured CP and there has to be a supply truck in the immediate area.
As the commander you must request an officer kit at your main base / apc then move and stand where you want the stuff created and press T and request it (ie Command Post then Bunker, Firebase, AA etc).
Engineers have to wrench AA & Command posts once they appear in order to get them operational, while Riflemen & Engineers can "shovel" firebases, bunkers and sandbags once they appear to set them up too. Barded wire fencing can be placed by commander were he is facing without anyones assistance.
Like i said, im a relative noob (even though I hate that f**king word) when it comes to setting up commander assets, so anyone out there feel free to correct me.

To get AAA you must have a firebase or bunker which in turn require a Command post.
I was CO on that map for while and it was my first time so I want to say TYVM to Hx Viking for all the advice.
The command post should be placed at your main, which I did not do and that caused some problems.

If you AA/bunker/Heavy AT spam, you're pretty much invulnerable unless a pesky sniper starts picking you off.

Nice screens.
Imageshack wont let my upload right now. Or delete.
A TOW would be a convenient commander asset. The AAA is very useful. (as well as the MEC/Chinese/GB equivalents of course)
The TOW would really great as an asset, almost better then the AAA
I finally played a round last night as a dedicated commander engy squad on TG Qwai River. It was the first time I saw the commander assets being used effectively. I now understand how awesome and powerfull these can be. Think the commander was Zaboo or something, sorry I didn't right it down.
