I'd also like to say discussing ballistic profiles is kinda futile when you omit what ranges we're talking about, as it effects wounding quite a bit (IIRC 7.62x39 has a tendency to tumble on impact, which would be reduced at close ranges because the energy of the round on impact would be enough to "punch" through the target cleanly)

ya but like I said that number varies atlot with range, sure the average may be 26, but we don't know the range of the data

It's averaged from wounds inflicted from all ranges.
