Open up the map in the editor, turn off overgrowth rendering, and look for trees.

Alternatively, look for objects called tree_stand (or something along these lines).

Being in an unsober stance, can you tell us locations of all tree stands then? :p

Wait a minute, how the hell are you supposed to get up to them? I saw one of them and I started jumping next to the tree to find a ladder of some sort. On one of the tree stands, I jumped next to the tree and something stopped me from jumping higher I look above me and it's something invisible. How am I supposed to get up there, stacking up vehicles to make steps or something?

Grappling hook...

Scouts have them, hit 9 - it doesn't show up on your weapon display for some reason.

I was tempted to say you were right until I remembered vehicle stacking in BF2 results in explosions, and often untimely death.

They're not really worth the trouble. The trees they're in are so thick that it's hard to get your hook to land in a way that you can actually get to the stand. Then, if you do make it up, the tree branches/foliage block 80% of your view :P

just a tip on getting your hook on the tree stands..

the BF2 trees collision mesh it a tall pyramid shape..the tree stands are aligned with one face of the pyramid..so the best way to hook them is to face them head on and throw your hook up..

if you try to grapple from the side it extremely diffiicult as you will keep clipping th edge of the pyramid...head on you can get them 9 times outta 10...

BTW...some of the tree stands suck and some are in great positions...gotta figure them out for yourself right?

stand back about 2 meters but facing the treestand directly..

so in a line...you -- treestand -- tree

so then you wont hit the trees collision before the treestand collision mesh..which is what you want...
