- Add info for grapling hook (engineer, press 9 - not all maps?)
- Add a list of special kits that can only be requested a certain points. (e.g. HAT can only be requested at this main base, supply crates, etc.) [not obvious for new player]
- Add list of points where commander and squad leaders can request officer kits. [not obvious for new players]
This gets into more medium to advanced info. The quickie guide is just to get someone started without information overload. There is a lot more info that we could add here that would be helpful to experienced players, but then it turns into a 600 second read which defeats the purpose of trying to inform new players who just want to play without feeling lost. This should help get them started. As they play, they'll learn more in-game.

I agree with the two first points, but I still would specify where squad leaders and commander can get kits. In game you only get a "get to a designated location" error message. It's really not obivous.

Something as simple as:
- commander can get their officer kit from the main base, bunkers, firebases.
- squad leaders can get their officer kit from same locations as commander and from their rally point.

(or something among those lines - not entirely sure myself).

I've seen many players asking all the time where they can get the officer kit.

Wouldn't officer kits be covered under the statement?
Special Kits: Where do I get them?

* Must be in a squad.
* Must be near a command post flag, supply crate, rally point, commander bunker/firebase, or apc.

No, you cannot get the commander officer kit at other locations than these as far as I know:
- Main base
- Defense bunker
- Firebase

I don't think you can get it anywhere else. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Not sure.

Any Dev's want to respond to that?

I thought the officers kit was just a kit. I don't think there is a difference in the officers kits for Squad leaders or Commanders. I'm not real sure so I will shut now. lol

Squadleaders can request officer kits from rally points but commanders cannot. Kinda confusing when the commander can spawn on another squad's rally but can't request a kit.

Great idea. Wish I would have had this before I got on and played for the first time last night. Even as a BF2 veteran, you can still get overwhelmed and feel lost by all the new rules and stuff. Combine that with having to learn new maps (gotta say I love 7 gates) and it takes a bit to get used to. I had many of these same questions and the worst part was people couldn't hear me on the mic. I could hear them though. I really love this mod. It's how I think the game should have been.

Thanks for the good feedback. Maybe we can get this stickied or at least a version of it to help out new players.

Too simple. At least, defibrillators should be mentioned, I think.

Thats the whole point. To keep it simple and only give them enough info that they will log on and at least know how to use tanks, planes, ect... and not be completely lost. The rest they can learn through playing and asking some people online. Its great if you ask me.

These quick tips/reminders would be very useful on load screens for maps.

Hey I've got an idea. How about when the loading screen comes on to load a map. Whilst waiting the long load time This could be shown and newbies can read straight before they go into a server???

It's been mentioned before, but I also agree - on maps with civvies f.ex - in the load screen an explenation for that kit etc etc.

Or you could just have different quick exp. on few items on different maps loading screen. They might even read that.
