I know. How bout making their cone of fire and/or deviation worse while they are under fire. An example might me something like: When rounds are hitting or passing by you at say 4 to 5 ft or closer, then your cone of fire or weapon deviation gets worse, but only while rounds are coming at you / passing by you. Once they are gone and a second or two goes by then you cone of fire and/or deviation return to normal. Just a thought I was tossing out, but maybe it's possible. Who knows

I think that is difficult territory Rico. Its DEFINITELY been suggested before. Personally I would LOVE to see more of an effect WHEN you get hit. I would like to see a slight animation and a vision effect if we can't get a slight camera jerk. I think it'd bring a lot to the game. Right now you get shot...no big deal. Their might be a slaze haze but after playing a while it definitely does not affect my aim in the least and this is ghey. For new guys...it messes you up....for the vets, it does nothing and we are still going to shoot you in the face after taking 2 shots to the torso. I dont like this and hope efforts or being made to fix it.
btw I'm all for an extra effect for suppression...who cares if its not perfectly real, its needed. We are using metaphors for plenty of things in PR...why not this.

True true. A players first thoughts should be finding protective cover when fired at. Especially from a machinegun. Not instaproning and uber head shoting you while bullets are striking mere inches from his body. One or two may have even hit him in the elbows and forearms. Hell he never should have left protective cover anyways unless he is moving to another peice of protective cover. I try to do that myself, but it's hard to keep up with your squad leader/ team members that way. Sometimes I get let behind doing that. Then I have to sprint to catch up.
On another note, I think they should leave the sprinting speed where it is now, and reduce the walking/trotting speeds even more.

No need to reduse the running speeds any further. It already takes ages to walk from the main base to the "battlefield" if your SL is dead and you dont have a RP tp spawn on.
What i would like to see is a slowdown after yoy get shot. Maybe something like if you loose 50% of your health your speed should be redused.

I know it takes a long time now. I make the walk the same as you and everyone else. You can't say give me super fast sprint so I can get to the fight in a hurry, and then say give me total realism too. I thought PR was all about being totally realistic. Except for the hardcoded **** they can't change. Soldiers conserve their energy cause they are smart. It may be days before they can go to sleep or catch a break. When you go out on patrol, you must conserve your resources, cause you can't know what's going to happen from day to day.
I've been up as much as 6.5 days without sleep, and let me tell that sucks major balls! Oh sure I get a cat nap here and there, but it's not the same as a full nights rest. Hell I didn't even get a chance to cat nap with my boots off. None of us did. Only time I took my boots off was to change socks. Smelly topic I know, but that's how it was. hehehe
Anyway, my point is you can't have it both ways. It's not "Realistic"

And if we aren't going for realism, they may as well change the name of the mod to almost PR.

I think the "Tactical Walk" is pretty good for now...its slow for sure...who is walking anyways? Double time boys! This is starting to get off topic though...stick to your guns fellas.

I'd have to suggest being knocked to the ground if you've taken a good shot i.e. anything over a pistol round to any part of your body but your arms below the shoulder. How long you stay down depends on the sheer shock of the round going through you. Should get the blurred vision of bleed out with the really slow movement speed of the same, at least until your body recovers. Lock out crouch and stand until you've recovered as well. You take a good round in RL, you're going down, even if it's absorbed by body armor.
Can't think of much for suppressive fire on near-misses. Only series i've seen that managed to introduce that was AA :O 's accuracy bar. More suppressive fire you took, the worse your aim became until the point where firing one round in a M16 kicked your rifle around like you were holding onto it with one pinky finger.
