Yes, he would fall down as if he tripped. No blood would squirt out anywhere. If it did, the particles would be too small for you to see unless you were standing right behind him.solodude23 wrote:In my personal opinion, it does add to the gameplay in a way. Now I don't want lots of gore, just simple things like blood on clothes, maybe a bit of splatter, etc just for emore realistic effects.
Lets say your running down a street in PRMM and a squadmate is shot down all the sudden. Without blood, he just falls over. Although you know hes dead or critically injured, in real life you woulda think he just tripped on something and knocked himself out...lol.
With blood however, he slamms to the ground, you see a little blood splatter and a wound in the small of his back to resemble him getting shot there.
In the movies, they strap these vests on people with pumps that explode. When the shot comes, the person presses a button and one of the little pumps explodes out of his jacket simulating the "effect".
Have you ever stabbed yourself with something sharp.. like a needle? You'll notice that no blood squirts out. A bullet is the same concept... it penetrates the skin like a very large needle. Blood starts slowly gushing out within seconds.. but there is no "squirting" or "splatter".
The only times you could ever get a "squirt" or "splatter" is when using very high caliber weapons. They will literally rip through your guts and blow them throw your body and out of your back.
Even explosions aren't bloody. When something explodes, so much dust & dirt fills the air that you practically see no blood.
Gore is only added to intensify the effect because people are used to it from watching movies.
