wtf is your problem??!111 you liek are camping and stuff and its totally un 1337 lol

sniper vs h-at. if the h-at sees you, then youre dead, but if 2 split from the main squad and the large group stays fairly out in the open, drawing the h-at fire, the sniper and spotter can take him out. its pretty simple. if you dont out think your opponent, you cant really complain.

i will say that it is frustrating, but usually, when im frustrated, sure i might say a few things over vent, but i rarely confront the people in game (on the other team. i will more frequently speak to my own team about what theyre doing wrong. i.e. smoking our own position etc). in any case, its just a game. when someone is camping you, its a challenge. if you can take them out, it shows you are a good player / had the right idea etc.

It never ceases to astound me how some people spend an entire round beating themselves and everyone else up complaining, and I'm utterly amused at the futility of thinking that there should be certain standard and generic "rules" to an on-line FPS with thousands of diverse personalities involved.

Man if you encounter something you feel is "offbeat gameplay" and you ain't diggin it, as long as it's not out-right cheating, either move along or do something inventive about it. Cause that constant complaining **** brings everyone down.

I was there and I was like wtf? We were blowing you up from afar with hidden HAT fire as you were all clumped up in the towers?
I wouldn't call tha n00b playing like...

This is "war". There are no proper rules. Things can be frowned upon yes, but if I see an enemy unit, I will take it out however I can. I bet you don´t like it, I don´t like getting shot while sneaking round a bunker, or when I have got that uber kit, but that is the game. I can´t ask everyone not to shoot me because I don´t like it. ;-)

i believe heavy AT firing is still an issue i think an ideal solution would be the shooter needs to be stationary for at least a few seconds before firing.

This would negate alot of current 'gameyness', as you can see the heavy AT troop but he gets his rocket off and pops behind cover before you have a chance to shoot at him. Prety silly when you realize how large and cumbersome these things are to fire IRL.

Once Krav sees those headless chickens pile up in the tower, few sec delay down or up, they'll still get fried :)

Well, I guess we gotta hide from the tank before we pop off one then :D

How is killing you "ruining" your Saturday afternoon? Grow a pair and kill them back. Or if they're just too good, then go assault a different CP. H-AT is very limited, it has crappy zoom, and you can't just pull it out and fire it. It's used that way in real life, so if you can't just play the game, don't. But don't insult other players, and definitely don't start a thread on the forums to draw attention to your squad's apparent incompetence.

Sounds like these boys where organized. There is nothing more frustrating than going up against gamers who are disciplined and organized to the point they ruin your round.

Let me put it different spin on this: What did you learn after that round? How do you counter a mobile hostile unit that has heavy weapons? Discuss.

And no flaming. Just discuss tactic.

If thats possible then yea that'd be a good limitation. I like to swap to binoculars (because of the 1x scope on HAT in 0.6) and walk with my pistol but in theory theres nothing to stop someone walking around with the rocket permanently drawn and receiving no delay to their fire which should really delay every time they start to line up, scope and prime the weapon for firing

I have another question, you said your western flank was weak. Did all SM stick together? Did you have an RP in close proximity?

It appears that staying inside that bunker was the wrong choice. Would a hostile squad split in two, coming up on both flanks taken you guys out? Or should they have put up a line on one flank and hit you with supressive fire?

If they had left the bunker and hid 20 meters behind the flagzone, would you boys get sucked in and go BOOM-BOOM?

An A-bomb?

We could have flanked them and killed them, in-fact our SL did kill them twice but thats not why i posted.

I posted because that type of game-play doesn't go down well with PR. Im surprised some people who have mentioned here before that they don't like AT sniping seem to have changed their minds.

I will not go that low. I will not park my cobra on a rooftop, switch to gunner and rape a CP "because in war, all is fair".

I think i will stick to Thors where AFAIK AT sniping is a ban.

No point in whining about their tactics - they were playing Militia so they have to improvise, the Brits have overall better weapons and Equipment. If you can't simply smoke their field of view and flank them with your squad (Flashbangs are always a good idea against campers...) well then don't complain about it.

Also about your cobra point - do that and you'll see how fast these H-AT "snipers" (or anyone else) will blow you up.

Exactly my friend. A rag tag militia would have so much hi-tech equipment they would use fifty, $150,000 a piece anti-tank missile against infantry! Thats 7.5million in just over an hour for an army that still has WW2 weapons in its ranks

You can do some pretty dumb things in PR in the name of playing but im not like that mate.

I invite you to join my squad anytime you see me playing. You will see a massive difference to how you normally play. My ingame name is Harrelson(UK)
