well my worst Experiences would be the time i was playin kashan desert(im usually a pilot on that map). ok i was waiting for the frogfoot to spawn and before that there was a mig 29 with no one around it so i thought i would take it and land before the frogfoot was there. so i got in the mig 29 waiting for it to worm up and all the sudden one of my squade members shows up and i saw him put something in front of me. so to prevent any conflict i asked the guy if he wanted the mig i said "you dont have to tk me for this, i can give it to you if you want" and he said "never mind i was just joking'.
but as soon as i start moving towards the runway i get blown up and it turns out that the same guy tked me. so i asked him why did you do that and he didnt answer. so i kept asking and shooting in the dust and all the sudden the frogfoot spawned. he wasnt paying attention, so i took my pilot kit and got it. and then he comes running with a C4 in his hand he put it on me and said "get out or i'll blow you again". man that got me realy pissed off. he asked me again and i said "ok your choice" i got out and put 4 rounds in his head(killed him) and got back in the plane and took off before he respwaned.and then the guy starts talking shit to me he even took the other mig 29 and tryed to down me(but the sucker crashed lol). and he even tryed shooting me with the AA when i went back to the airfield to rearm(but still missed me). anyways after that i was pissed for the rest of the day. he screwed my day but i screwed him much much harder.

I was there this weekend, taking the T90 to flank the US armor, when A10 nose dives on me using the gattling gun and paints a nice scar on the ground next to me....and no bombs, rockets or missiles, guy just thinks, he'll get me with a gattling gun....

That server is much better with Basrah on...

Where's my leash so I can choke-chain a squad member who tries to break cover to go for a kill when we're trying to set up a rally point? Yip! That'll teach you. Yes, a bad squad is about as bad as no squad.
So true...

yea the gattling gun is usually good to scare the shit out of ppl lol but the real danger to a tank is the laser guided missiles :p

I have to add the thrill of being three flags forward with your squad, pinning the enemy team down to their main, and having it all fall apart because 6 people cannot hold back 32 because the other squads are dicking around in the backfield instead of pushing the final assault, or hitting your points or other points in contest.

I hate to disband a great squad, but when only 6 people are really playing the map, it's pointless.

Shit. I remember I had the best squad on the freaking server, and this ******* forced us to guard the stupidest area. It wasn't a choke point, a bridge, a road, a flag or even a rally point. It was NOTHING. Yet he was insanely adamant about it.

Argh.

and I listened, since it's reality mod and all, and soldiers have to listen to stupid commanders all the time...

If my commander gives retarded orders (and I mean really retarded) then I just ignore him. If a commander is near the front line, and can see an enemy convoy or something moving to a particular flag then fine, but if he tells me to defend a flag which is currently uncappable (where the enemy has to take like 3 flags just to get to the one he's telling me to move to) then he can get stuffed.

I've had plenty of commanders sitting in an APC in our main base, who haven't got a clue what's going on, give me stupid orders.

Honestly, just because a person has filled the commander position doesn't necessarily mean you should obey them without question, use your own judgement.

Most of the time I don't get orders from a commander anyway, so it makes little difference.

If your commander is an ***, simply dont listen to him :)

I seen like 1-3 people, that commanded and used VoIP to coordinate the squads and provide neccesseary info without chatter spamming the channel, so you could manage directing your squad.
And NOT giving stupid orders.

Hm, my worst experience ... well it happened last night to me. There wasn't anyone really using choppers so I decided to take a swing at it for fun. Too bad I forgot I didn't invert my Y Axis lol. A few games later, the same exact shit happened.

That or when piloting the game lags. Makes me not really wanna fly ever again haha.

Done that with a fully-loaded little bird. Talk about emberassing. Right into the water from the USMC carrier.

Although this was not my worst experience, it was my most embarrassing. On Al Basrah in Insurgency Mode, I was a civvie and I was scouting near the East Village (the British occupied it with two APCs and were searching for weapons). I was running from a squad wielding knives and running toward my AK wielding buddies when I noticed them running away too and heard the distinct sound of a helicopter overhead. Suddenly, an Apache swoops out of the sky and lands on my head. Needless to say, they didn't get penalized and I got laughed at. I must say, I salute the guys in that chopper for their expert flying and pancaking skills.

0.6 al basrah round, my 6 ppl squad are british, we load up into the merlin. Me having the only heli experience of the whole team *not with 0.6 choppers tho* was driving pilot. 5 seconds after take off i crashed into our APC's, that lag really makes it hard... and so did my team cuz we lost almost all form of transportation...lol... ive had some really embarrassing heli moments.

On UKTactics and Teamwork, trying to make an organized air squad and getting flack for it. Some fyg0t took jets and refused to join, only to cruise around teh map as a fighter trying to hit ground targets. Some other *** put slams on the plane (sQty), and another, [2nd]Shinji, took jets and refused to join the squad.

Today, on STRIKETEAM, 2LT Lloyd[1GBN] TK'd me for a jet (I had been in the server the whole round on Kashan, my squad was dominating, but we we're losing players on the server) and 2LT Garton[1GBN] was a one man tank "defending" our base, and drove over to the Frogfoot the second it spawned, crushing one of our guys.

Urgh, just had a terrible experience.

I decided that I felt like commanding on EJOD Desert. I've only done it about 2 or 3 times (never with a full server, and never from the very beginning of a round), but I quite enjoyed it, so I figured I'd try and do it properly this time.

At the very beginning of the round, I spawn, try and get my Officer kit, only to accidently pick up someone else's kit (there were about 20 people standing behind the APC, all getting kits). I tried to pick up some of the other kits lying around, no luck. I requested it again, only to be told I'd already been given it.

I figure I'll get it in a minute, so I jump in the APC, who proceeds to drive all the way to West City (we were USMC, so he bypassed 2 flags). Within 5 minutes, we were all dead, including the APC.

I spawn on some squad's RP, but can't take an officer kit from there either. Our entire team attempts to defend East City from a tank on the hill to the north, but it killed basically everyone. I had one useful squad who took their armour up there and destroyed it.

I still had no officer kit. By the time the APC eventually spawned again, there were enemies literally all around East City, and I was killed and revived multiple times. The armour wouldn't enter the city (HAT, fair enough), but I kept on asking the APC to circle around the East at the rear, to try and bring the APC slightly closer to the flag. He wouldn't do it, so I ran all the way from East City to Gas Station. I got about 20 feet away, and he chose this moment to start driving to pretty much where I'd told him, so I chased him around in a Humvee. He finally stopped, and I pulled up behind him just as a guy jumped out. Team kill. I got out, and he drove off again.

I eventually caught up with him, got my officer kit, and was promptly run over by the APC.

For some reason, he decided it would be a good idea to dump his APC right next to an enemy tank, surrounded by enemies, so many troops (including me) got killed as soon as we got out of the APC.

I FINALLY got an officer kit, and build a Command Post, Support Truck, and Bunker, just as an enemy APC decided to pull into East City, destroying all of it, and killing me once again. Our APC was destroyed. Again.

I spawned back at the main base, getting really pissed off by this stage. I spawn a command truck, because there was no transport, and allow everyone in the area to jump in. We had lost Ruins, so I drive up the main road towards it.

Now, about 5 minutes previously I'd been told that there was a HAT guy on the western hills near West City. I assigned one squad to specifically take him out, and even told my entire team to abandon East City, and try and sneak around to West City once it became clear we had no hope of holding it. Nobody moved an inch. Everyone stayed at EC and was slaughtered.

Anyway, I'll be honest, I forgot about the HAT guy, but it turns out he'd moved to the very end of the main road, and blew up my support truck full of guys. Instantly, I had half the squad leaders telling me off, and I got too fed up to continue and quit the server.

I couldn't build any commander assets for almost the entire game due to shitty circumstances. So half our team couldn't spawn near the front. The only squad who followed any of my orders was the armour squad, but they couldn't move because they were pinned down by HAT.

So I'm sorry, whoever was playing with me just now, I don't think I'll bother being the commander any more.
