Well, you could always use a [PRF] in front of your name just so people know you come here...

Can I put a prefix on my current in-game name w/o creating a new player?
For PR I play exclusively on Tactical Gamer server as "vanity11"

For ArmA I play exclusively on Tactical Gamer (coop and evo) as "Vanity"

-If it's possible to add "+" and "/" you'll see me use +/ in front of the Squad name from now on.

+/INF
+/ENG
+/etc...

About the prefix: or edit global.con, so you can use a . (dot) in your prefix, if needed.

about commander dictating your role:

often if my squad switches its role mid round, i will simply re-create a new squad with the new name. It works prety well, just tell your squad mates to join the new squad.

new role, fresh start :)

I'm going to keep an eye out for any squads with PR in the names.

I've only been at this mod a couple of days, but already I'm getting fed up of useless squad leaders who don't have a clue what's going on.

Just now our squad was assigned to defend a flag while the rest of our team attacked the next one. Well, we got overrun and lost the flag. Rather than getting it back, the squad leader decides to move us up to the flag that the rest of our team was attacking (this involved going past and around the flag we'd attempted to defend), when it wasn't even possible to take it because we'd lost the other one.

Some serious retards out there, honestly.

No, last I checked, there was a thread about, where the true PR fans and teamplayers would put [PR] in front of their name, so others would know, who to look for in the battle.

I think all that really needs to be done is to use the same name in-game as you do on the forums. I know I've recognized many a forumer in-game.

Nothing more complicated is needed.

The people that have [PR] in there name for the most part are PR tournament players past and present. All of them should be team players, and voip users.

The thread topic was on the squad name.......

so you like the idea or not?

If so, what tag do you prefer?
-F
+/
PRFU
...?

We first need to agree on the utility of it, and then on the best one to use....

I think it would be a good thing, cuz like it has been said, now theres alot of squads named voip not using it, etc etc.. (happened to one of my squad also, cuz nobody was responding....) So now, we could just put Inf-F , etc, and dont mind about the rest, cuz its gonna be teamwork for sure, regardless of voip or not.......

so?

Yeah you can't really name your squad VOIP anymore. I think -F is the way to go...easy to use and rather coded. If another forum user wants to get in he should ask the SL and somehow indicate he is a forum user...if there is a slap **** in the -F squad then kick him and bring in the new guy. I've had plenty of times where I get some joker but I need him to fill the slot...but I'd easily boot him in favor of someone from here.

-F I say....any squad naming is fine with me.

Hells. This would be useful, but too bad I can't fit anymore letters in my squad name and I'm not changing it. =(

PRFU sounds good. Would make people think you hate PR and not join it, only forum users would know :D .
